My only question at present is Niimi Kaoru's fate. We are nearing the end of the series and while this isn't the Comet Empire arc, Yamato does have a reputation for getting people killed near the end.

Ships are the main thing I am interested in, but there was a hole in the data I had about that one character. Everyone else I pretty much have information on...more or less. Thank you.
Ships and things usually require more detailed responces. Or detailed pictures (a picture tells a thousand words and all that). Especially when it gets into tactics and armaments and all that sort of stuff one would want if they want to try to game with these things (or armchair quarterback battles. You can almost never recreate actual conditions of a battle on a table top or even a computer. At least if the players know anything about the battle).

It seems odd. We've seen lots of carriers (two types) at Balun. Lots with the Imperial Guard Fleet as they wiped out Alutaria, and one in the Solar System. None have had the "Eyes" Save the Battle Carrier design. And we've not seen anymore of those (in Yamato 2199) save the red one for the Rainbow Cluster battle.

There is a ship detail I can't quite pick out from existing images. The Battle Carrier has two sets of missile launcher on the deck. I can't make out how many tubes they have becaue the image on Yamato2199.net is too small to make out that level of detail.
The nicely detailed model kit unfortunately doesn't help because they've not shown one with the armaments on the deck yet. They have drawing of it like that but all the images of those drawing or in show art are too small online to make out those details. I will assume they show nice detail in the story even if they don't fire any missiles. EDIT: Also someone remembers "Mio". http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.p...st_id=36535233

Good info, August. I'm glad i managed to guess the fate of the last Zaltzi. I've posted 2 of my queries at the SB comunity page but for very good reasons, i doubt you've seen them, of course. So, here it goes and i'll keep it simple.
Spoiler for Questions:
That's it. Be well. Last edited by macdawson; 2013-06-24 at 07:58. |

We saw a Gatlantis fighter stranded in the subspatial rift in episode 10 and Domel fighting a Gatlantis fleet in episode 11. There have been some mentions of the "barbarian invaders" (presumably Gatlantis) in several episodes. So...the seeds are there to be developed should a second season remake come to life. But no official announcement has yet been made. Believe me, if and when that happens, you'll be sure to know about it.
