I'm not sure. They did say in the notes that the VAs were really good. I think they needs to be shot.

Has anyone seen the .hack//sign dubs? I wonder if they were bad or decent. Bleh so many bad dubs another one of the really bad ones that i remember would be magic knight rayearth.... I thought it sucked badly. I cant stand the dubbed voices especially when they seem to make the women's voices way too high pitched. It just strikes me as annoying... Still... the LH dubs are probably the worst dubs ever.

.hack//SIGN had a pretty bad dub. Didn't seem like there was much feeling put into it.

I watched Vision of Escaflowne dubbed first... then I got around and watched it in its orginal Japanese because my buddy told me to do so... and I can say that the english dub for it was not too great... the only other dub I've seen is for Dragonball .... both the english and the chinese dubs for it were crap........

btw... SoulFang... where are the characters in your sig from?

Whoa there sparky, they put enough emotion in, we don't need it sounding like some cheezy NBC Soap Opera, LOL!!!

Not necessarily, their are some really good english dubs out there. For example, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Hack Sign, Sailor Moon and a few others that I thought were excellent.

You do realize that the Japanese language track is a dub?

He probably meant english dubs, not dubs in general.

You're entitled to your opinion, I however find that while the dubs for the shows you mention are pretty good for an english dub they're still not half as good as the original.

Not all dubs are bad. I mean... I liked the GW dub personally. And a couple others. But in general english dubs are bad... I wish they'd get some decent voice actors and not butcher shows... That'd make me enjoy dubs a lot more.

I can't say that I liked the Sailor Moon dub either. It was pretty bad... and it was butchered.

The English voice actors for Sailor Moon did a ok job. As for how they translated and edited it from the original is another story.

It is MHO that all dubs are crappy, it is like choosing rather to fall off empire state building or get run over by 120 carts train.... I personally stay with original audio and "good" sub (with very heavy emphasis on "good",) listening to original japanese (or any other languages) is just more natural.... let's not forget the good old classic example of bad dub gone crappy-ORGINAL GOZILLA!!

For the few experiences I had with dubs, I have to say Arislan was the worst. Sitting through 'Age of Heroes' was like horrible torture for me.

I hated the fact that they used the female voice for Yuki. They should have used a female voice with a little tint of 'masculinity' in it like Kenshin since it didn't sound completely female (to me anyways). Here I was watching Fruit Basket and couldn't help thinking Yuki is a female because of the VA. Then when I saw this thing between the girl and Yuki so I couldn't help but think they're female/female. Eh... I never had a thing for Fruit Basket anyways.
