why not? He's supposed to be completely naked, so he should be completely naked. And what's the purpose of an anime if it doesn't "show" what in a novel is only described?

Considering that they censored the sugar and guts, I'm assuming they'll "animate" his birthday suit, just with the censors.

That said, since the VN/SN doesn't actually care to show us Battler's well-toned loins, I don't really care otherwise. Bondage suit may be the better option.

I'm really not expecting this, but I actually wouldn't mind.

In Higashi no Eden they had no problem showing the main character completely naked since the very start of the story, only the very tiny spot of his "johnny" was concealed, which is okay.

If it was done there, why would it be so strange to do it for Umineko? Rationally there is really no reason, however seeing as how they are censoring everything I have very little hope for this.

Well Eden had excellent animation, more than can be said about DEEN's job.

A couple of posts in the Episode 8 thread mentioned something about "the inscription on the chapel door"... I don't remember that from the game at all.

If anyone could outline it in here, and why it's important, that'd be great...

Same, its been awhile since ep 2, but I sure as hell don't remember any inscription what so ever.... I really need to re-read the series, but I'm holding off until the new patch.

This is the inscription according to Jan-Poo.

Also at some point in Ep4 Kumasawa translates the rest that Battler could not read as quadrillion.

That is, the probability is a quadrillion.

"one in a quadrillion" or "one quadrillionth", it is impossible to tell the exact wording because what we know is only how Kumasawa translated it:

"千兆分の一"

BTW this was the scene where you get to know that Battler isn't quite proficient in english while Maria is. There won't be any other mention of this fact in the story.

Whoa what... I just reread that part of the VN last week and I somehow completely missed it. Or it went over my head because I can't remember that at all. Oh dear, my memory's getting worse and worse.

It is always possible it was a red herring to begin with and thus not used. Or it will come up later when it is really needed rather than now when it has no known importance to the plot.
