What irony? She's not working together with the Kishin at all. She's using him just like Medusa used her.

Read the raw for 108, and wow. Haven't seen such a awesome fight for a well. Just how broken can Black Star get!?

On the other hand, I am starting to doubt whether Kishin will really be the final boss. I am now getting the gut feeling that the Great Old One of Power is going to jump out in the last minute.

But I can't help but to >_> at Shinigami's new grand reveal.

At this point I'm just laughing and waiting to see what Black Star will do next. The guy really has gone into some scary territory there. He just took that kind of blast and spat it back out . Got to love this guy . Maka and Kidd just have nothing to say at that point.

Some interesting reveals to be sure. So the Shinigami really did bring all this onto himself. All this talk of fragments. Though did have that weird feeling when we first saw Asura's face early in the series. So doesn't feel like something that is completely shocking. Might explain why his fear was so beyond that of a normal person.

They are going to have to get creative though. Even Black Star's insane power isn't going to easily get the job done. Time to get a bit extreme.

Well well, it was clear that they can't win like this alone...it's kinda grotesque that they are still alive taking so much damage.

I wonder how Kid is gonna look like.

Indeed, RIP Shinigami-sama. It was good to know that he did have that kind of power to control humanity through order, but didn't actually use it. Still having some hope for people and letting them reach their respective highs and lows.

Though seems the boost has only brought Kid up to around Black Star's level. Though to be fair that's still a pretty insanely high level .

That isn't looking good for Maka though. Been a while, but I'm hoping that Soul can use the black blood to seal up that injury? Still it's a pretty devastating bit of damage. Only hope to beat this guy might be getting Chrona's help and attacking from the inside.

This was just freaking awesome .

I mean this is the kind of last battle I would hope to see from Soul Eater. It wasn't just Maka+Soul, everyone who could help out in some way was helping out here. Kilik, Azusa, Eruka, Free, Stein, Marie, Sid, Nygus, etc. They knew the only way to bring this guy down was to focus on Maka and Soul's ability and reach Chrona in there. If they can bring this guy down from the inside-out then they have a chance. But it literally took everyone in order to make an opening on this guy, he's just that damn powerful.

It was pretty crazy. Black Star's arm and spine got screwed up but he was still giving his all out there, Kid was struggling not to use the Order power that might have equaled them up but would have made him cross a line, and Maka was just getting knocked around only saved by the black blood inside of her. It was a fun chapter.

Will just say I really pray that somehow this gets animated at some point. It's too good to miss out on seeing in motion.

Well, it obviously didn't end this week, as the next chapter is coming out on 12 July.

That said, the art for the final splash page was pretty awesome. What can mere humans do, indeed.
