Babel II
People, watch these first 2 eps! Let me count out the awesome for you a bit:
-Old school! -Such a classic I think it is among the most remade/retold out there. Based on the OP alone, I believe I may safely invalidate every shorter and less epic remake that has followed this. -The OP theme has that classic, bombastic, strong edge to it like original Getter Robo and such. -Said OP theme is so EPIC that at times it doesn't even match the animation in the background in terms of content. Modern shows are afraid to be this epic. -Main character has a Magical Panther. Yes, that's right. The Financial Panther from The Simpsons crossed with Friender from Casshan. -Apparently Akira Kamiya is in it too doing his thing. BlueFixer is awesome for this...all hail BlueFixer. Who's with me?! |

I'm with you! Yay!
Watched the two available fansubed episodes and they were pretty enjoyable. I remember the opening from somewhere, perhaps a youtube compilation of old openings, I dunno. My question is, will they end fansubing this show, or will make just like another dozens of fansubs when they pick old school anime, "pick and drop shortly after".

It's Babil, actually.
The series maintains a distinction between the Tower of Babel (BABERU in katakana) and Babil the alien (BABIRU in katakana). Also, after learning the truth behind the Tower of Babel (BABERU no tou) Kouichi starts referring to it as Babil's Tower (BABIRU no tou). Anyways, the plan is to fansub the whole thing. I just work really, really slowly. |
