Yeah I know what you're thinking, "Another crappy game-to-movie conversion, bleh." But I think this movie has promise. They got the creepiness of the "our world" parts just right, and the "creepy world" parts....ooohhhh baby, I'm so going to go see this!

I never played the game, but the trailer does look kind of scary. I hope they don't add in-game footage like some other movies (House of the Dead and Doom)

Well it seem SONY may be able to make this one fitting to watch it reminds me alot of SH 3 the story looks the same also except the charcter is looking for her daughter.

Dude, the trailer looked freaking awesome. Im sure im going to enjoy this. Man, I thought Sean Bean was the main character, but it had to be the girl >_<

Oh well, Im definitly checking it out!

More films should offer $2500 poster design contests.

Oh God. You just brought back memories of one of the worst, if not the worst film I've ever seen.

Video game -> movie conversions usually go bad, so I don't expect a lot. But it does have twisted manakin type things, which is always a nice reminder of what wierd things there are in Silent Hill. God those games shit me up.

The script seems to be based on the first game.

The game begins with Harry Mason and his daughter driving to Silent Hill. Suddenly Harry sees someone walking on the road and he tries to evade her the same way the mother does in the movie. Harry passes out and when he wakes up, his daughter is missing. Soon afterwards Harry meets Cybil, the female motorcycle police officer from a nearby town, who then tells him that all roads leading to Silent Hill have been cut off. This is where you can start controlling your character for the first time.

The trailer follows the game's beginning very precisely as you can see.

In the trailer we also see other characters from the game. I think you can see a glimpse of Alyssa and the old woman whose name I can't remember. Their names have probably been changed, though.

Silent Hill is one of my favourite game series and the first one is the best game in the series and one of my all time favourite games, so I'm very excited about this movie. The trailer looks good and the website is really, really cool. I hope the movie will be great as well, but unfortunately game to movie conversions tend to suck.

actually from the trailer I saw in the theater, it's Her and her mother driving and the mom sees someone and crashes. She then calls Harry to come help them and whatnot. But it seems that they're having it be the mom instead of Harry. That seems to be the only change in characters from the 1st game. I loved the game no matter what, and I think this movie will be great.
