It's just a short about Yui wondering about different things. Not really an episode.

Supposely from Yomiuri news, a live action K-On! drama is on the works. They even got the list of actresses for each role. For real?!?

The chinese link I got the news from:

From what I remember when I asked, the show probably takes place in the Kyoto area. But I wonder where Mugi's beach house is? It looks almost tropical there. I know Japanese summers are pretty warm, but this looked almost like Hawaii.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already but is there a difference in the opening theme music before and after Azusa joins the band? I thought I heard one part but I listened to the version without Azusa and it sounded the same ..

Yeah, they added a second guitar in to the opening when Azusa was introduced. If you closely listen to 0:49-0:59 in this video, then you can hear the second guitar when it stands out the most. Now compare that to the same scene in an Azusa-less opening, and I think you'll be able to see a noticeable difference.

You need to really listen to hear the second guitar throughout the whole song, so I think that moment is the best time to recognize the difference.

Whoa! Never realized that Azu-nyan's rhythm guitar was played at the 2nd opening. Awesome! Better watch and listen now.

Well, from what I know, you'll be seeing more of Tsumugi in the Blu-Ray release. On TV, she's been cut from the scene a couple of times.

I've seen so many hoax "live action coming!" releases for various series... lets just say I'll wait for it to be seen on the official site.

I'm not real sure a live-action would play all that well anyway (of course, that goes for a lot of series I like). Most of the live-action adaptations (with a few exceptions) I've seen have been pretty disappointing.

Is there still no word yet on a Western release for either the anime or manga?

As of right now, there's nothing. Considering it's popularity though, I'm sure that won't last for very long.

Random question. I've seen this particular pose in several other anime and I was just wondering if anyone knew what it was referencing?

No, but apparently, there is going to be a K-On! live event on Dec. 30, 2009 (Wed.) in Yokohama. It seems pre-order tickets (lottery) are over and general release tickets will be available for purchase starting on Nov. 29, 2009. That's all I can get out of that myself.

What is the etymology of:

Mio Akiyama
Yui Hirasawa
Tsumugi Kotobuki
Azusa Nakano
Ritsu Tainaka

I have been looking all over the Internet for them, but I cannot seem to find one reliable source...

Thanks for looking.
