What part of the planet are you? Here in Asia we a day before the US for some hours. What is Oct 1 to us is Sept 30 over there.

He actually looks pretty cool in the original game he made a debut in. It was a game called Super Hero Sakusen, and it starred the SRX team and some of the Alpha originals before Alpha came out.

As you can see, Kusuha, Leona, Ryoto and Bullet were all part of the SRX team with matching uniforms before being retconned for SRW Alpha.

He looked pretty cool in all of the SRW games too. I don't know why the artist decided to completely remodel his face. It just looks longer and more weaselly now, which suggest a sleazier character. It's nothing like him.

Let's hope his character interpretation in the anime makes up for it.

Damn that PV trailer looked sick. It's way better of what I expected. The animation is smooth and art is just perfect. Can't wait to hear the remix themes from other characters.
Looking forward to this.

This gives me some hopes for OG2... I hated the first series with a passion. It doesn't help that I liked the game OG2 better than the first one anyway...

I'm really, really hoping these character models look better animated than they do still. I mean, goodness, everything about Masaki looks terrible. Everything.

I've seen a lot of anime artists suffer from one-face syndrome, but I never thought they'd allow it to happen to one of my favorite franchises...

Actually his point was that the mech in the image is supposed to represent the Valsione, which is a completely different mech from the Valsione R. The Valsione R sports a very different look from the Valsione, even if this new art is already the most unique of all the Valsione iterations so far.

Sorry, was a brainfart. Was just talking with someone else about the Valsione R before I posted that.

And tbh the odd character designs I don't mind if its what we sacrifice for Obari mecha animation. Seriously we had randomly buff Ryuusei in the Divine Wars who would be normal looking than be on steroids 2 scenes later. At least this way theres a little consistency.

Besides the mecha designs are looking kinda cool, buffer Cybuster is a fun take and the new Valsione is more elegant and alot less errr...gifted than you'd think Obari would design it.

The characters look fine IMO, these are just character designs they use as reference. Just look at the preview trailer, Excellen and Kyosuke don't look anything like what they did on the character sheets.

As for the Mech designs, not all of them have been worked on by Obari. From what I recall, Obari has only re-touched Alteisen, Weissritter and now the Cybuster, I'm going to guess he also gave the DaiZengar his touch as the image on the official website screams MASAMI OBARI WAS HERE.

The Valsione has been handled by Kotobuki Tsukasa who also re-did the Angelg.

Masaki's Cybuster looks a bit pumped up, like it worked out a bit. I like it. Surprised they didn't put Kuro and Shiro near his artwork as well.

Please let there be La Gias no Kaze during certain scenes, I just love that music.

Ryuune looks sweet as always.
