Spoiler for remake:

- Full Vita Remake of the first game;

- Graphically on par with V quality;

- Character clothing are the ones from the first game;

- THe scenario is being supervised by Shingo Onodera, who wrote sub events in the original (such as Nippon Ichi and Gust ones), as well as V's Makers events and Mk2 DLC sub events;

- IF and Compa seem to get a revamp somehow, but without pictures and context do not jump to conclusions yet;

- Apparently, all the goddesses save Neptune wear glasses. Onodera is quoted saying he absolutely wanted Vert to wear them;

- It's unknown if the other maker characters will appear (probably not);

- Initially was planned as a port, then since they could transplant V's system easily it became bigger, and it was also decided to work on the scenario;

- The battle system has been adjusted to match V's and the scenario has been modified to correct the parts that weren't satisfactory;

- Felistella came on board as developer after Agarest Senki Mariage;

- Bigger focus on the three goddesses this time around. There were also adjustments to the number of fights against Magiquone due to the episode length;

- The goddesses wear glasses to disguise themselves when they go into other countries;

- This time the goddesses will become friends during the story;

- There will be focus on relationships between IF, Compa and Neptune, as well as Neptune and Noire;

- Financier will appear and get a better treatment;

- There will also be some sort of Fairy Fencer F material;

- The game's already playable at this point and it'll be good for both the beginner and the old fan.

I thought Neptune would use a wooden sword in anime, but I was wrong

BTW, Planeptune seems like the best place to live. Nice weather, nice futuristic buildings + technology.

Lastation - looks like a lot of pollution and the buildings look dark and dirty

Lowee - not a fan of "all-year" snow + old school buildings

Leanbox - old school buildings too?

Agree with Planeptune and some of Lastation's description. I dont think the buildings look dark.... (Havent really see it, maybe if based on HDN1, then yes.)

You wouldnt mind going to Lowee when it is summer. (I thought Leanbox looks like the White House from the Opening...)

I should know...don't expect some engaging story. The show is about some moe girls having fun from the virtual games. This show reminds me about Date Alive. I plan to stop following it for now, unless they are introducing some amusing plot or character.

The ending artwork is amusing. Some people may find Kobayashi Yuu's(voice actress) artwork interesting. It still displays some creepy feeling. The joke is finding its way into anime.

It's a direct reference to a certain event in Neptune V (where they did the seyuu joke). The artwork is the same, if I'm not mistaken.

Official website has the preview. One day/Hours later in this case. (As they have already done episode 2 beforehand, which was supposed to be shown with episode 1 during the cancelled event held on 22nd June.)

I'm not even familiar with the original games (Neptunia, mk2, and Victory), but even I could pick up that the entire franchise itself is basically a moefied version of the console wars (Neptunia and her sister Nepnep represent Sega for example), and a good deal of gaming history as a whole (I think the games eventually got around to referring to the fall of Atari at one point).

I wonder whether Neptunia would ever touch on the PC vs Console vs Tablet debate.

As expected, the series heavily relies on the fact the audience has knowledge from the game (bluntly introducing Share in such fashion is a bit flat from an anime only perspective).
Well, it isn't like Neptune series really need an elaborated introduction or anything, but I believe the absolute lack of setup/info dump isn't really helping for the mood.

In any case, it feels a bit weird to have them animated this way, and I can't help but be disappointed how low budget the series look like (I guess Date a Live spoiled me considering it could stick closely to Tsunako's design, despite the arguably average budget). Animation is sort of subpar, and whereas the design is a bit on the sloppy side, I question the abuse of flashy colors, leading to a very abnormal result if you ask me (unless the raw I got was really that bad in that department).

So far, it looks like a combination of V and MK2, although I really wonder what they are planning with the V content considering the missing characters in the lot.
