Can anyone clarify the whole goddesses stuff

Milk is the re-incarnation of one goddesses of fate. Is she in the same category than the goddess that Lucile is after?

And about the remaining goddesses of fate? Future power-up for the feminine cast or future characters in Ryner harem?

I'd like to know more about Ferris background is someone is kind enough, from what I've read on wikipedia...

She kind of had a really messed up childhood... Talking about horrible family traditions...

but I'd like someone to provide more details about her and her brother.

I can answer about Ferris, not Lucille.

Not much to spoil really beyond wiki. She's always treated as a defect because when compared to Lucille she's really weak. One day she got the crap beaten out of her (14 I believe), and the mom thought she's totally useless except for help bearing child for her brother, or Ferris's father (since the family line is kept pure through incest marriages).

Spoiler for size:

The mom held her down (after she was all beat up after training with broken bones and stuff) while her dad try to have his way with her. Lucille came and lob his mom's head off, and had an exchange with his father (father might've said something along the lines like Lucille can have Ferris instead, not sure on this though) and killed him too saying he's weak.

Lucille always claimed that Ferris is then freed from the cursed family line, but forbade Ryner from going after Ferris (because of the monster inside Ryner, which I think is referring to SoaE rather than Alpha Stigma).

I still think Lucille is a total siscon .

I agree.

Lucille and Sion's stuff is better explained in Legend of Great Heroes of Legend and kinda ties with KrebMarkt's question, which ... I still have yet to read, so I'm hesitate to talk about for fear of inaccurate information (I might read them over this weekend if I have time ... who knows). All I know at this point is that Lucille's strength is "kinda" tied with Ryner's dad (who is crazy awesome, especially when he teased Ferris, and is easily the best character in the 1st half of the story in terms of power and personality).

Right now, the faction I hate the most is Gastark Empire.

I absolutely abhor this group and I raged a little when I saw fans liking Refal in the anime thread.

Lir needs to die in the most ridiculous painful death for murdering all those eye bearers and forcing them to go insane to collect their essences. I was so glad when Milan came out of nowhere and almost killed Sui. And at the center of this stupid retarded ideology is freaking Refal. I was also glad that Keifer still stick with Ryner more than this guy. I went mad when he was hitting on Keifer too lol...

My hatred for this group is so great that I even sympathize with Teiia/Tiia (who freaking ate Claugh's arm again) more than them. I hope all Gastarkian solders gets eaten by Ino Doue/Īno Dwōe bearers <__<.

In LOTGH when Ferris almost got killed by Miran, her last thoughts before dying/passing out were for Ryner to come and save her(Ryner was on the other side of town reminiscing about old times with Kiefer). So instead Lucile teleport something like 800km to save Ferris. And then Lucile pretty much say that the next time Miran even looked at Ferris wrong he would pay even if Miran is a favored vassal of Sion. And of course there are all kinds of examples/hints that show Lucile is not pleased with the relationship between Ferris and Ryner.

yes, but his main purpose was to save Ferris, saving Iris is just a by-product of that rescuing. And Froaude just wanted to test the extent of Lucile's powers, he really have guts, I'll give him that...

Lucille seemed untouchable by the end of the first saga. The reason why I thought Ryner's dad rivaled him is only because Lucille pulled out his sword (and apparently he has more than one) for the first time to fight Lura (otherwise Lucille's power looks pretty absolute, and Ryner was nowhere near close to be able to fight him).

That's from the light novel, all manga scans that I've know of is going at snail pace or just not happening cause lack of raws or interest. Afaik though, manga's gonna cover the entire novel (at least the main novels + a side sequence) since there are more than one manga.

Sion's revolution is only touched on briefly here and there. The details are in Black Fallen series I guess. Never read that though. Ryner's BG, it really depends on what aspects are you referring to. I would say it's scattered in many places.

Today, let me briefly talk about magic.

Spoiler for Ryner's arsenal of Roland spells (at least those that I remember at the top of my mind):

1. Izuchi (Roland)
A lightning attack that is fired at one target. It's damage level is moderate. Most used spell by Ryner in the prequel. Why Ryner uses it is because it's not too overpowered in damage and it is easier to aim.

Spoiler for what happened to Izuchi in the sequel:

No longer available; its existence was erased from the entire world by Kurutta Yuusha (The Mad Hero) in volume 11 of the prequel

2. Kurenai (Roland)
Shoots out multiple balls of fire. AOE spell. It's more powerful than Izuchi in strength. Side effect is that it may set off a fire in the surroundings.

3. Mizumi (Roland)
Fires a large jet of water, pushing against everything in its path. It is the weakest among all attack spells, but has the fastest casting time.

4. Kuuri (Roland)
Fires a fast light ray that explodes on impact. It has long range and is a highly destructive powerful spell that Ryner dislikes using because of the risk of creating casualties.

5. Ante (Roland)
Creates an area of silence for a short period of time. While theoretically, it should stop others from casting spells, but so far, Ryner has only used it to create confusion among the enemy and launch surprise attacks on them.

6. Shira (Roland)
A spell disruption magic. Fires black smoke that erases uninvoked or incomplete magical symbols / inscriptions, preventing the enemy from finishing his spell.

In addition, he also has created his own spells through his own research, as well as possessing spells from Nelpha, Estabul, Runa, and Gastark. I think I may have missed out other stuff here and there though.

the depth and originality of the magic system is one of my top criterion to rate a heroic(-harem) fantasy(negima in spite of its flaw is probably the best i've seen so far in that regard thank to akamatsu-and his team-perfectionism).
but i still don't understand what explain the rule fragme overheming power and who made them(the goddess?)
and can you tell me who(or what) is the priest?why did he gave that sword to refal?
