Actual Kumagawa development, the "real" Shiranui, the reappearance of the doubles (surprisingly!), Anshin'in-san being AMAZING again... pretty good chapter, yeah.
The doppelganger fights should be damned interesting, particularly Ajimu's, if Nisio goes as far with it as he probably should. |

Interestingly put by Shiranui there.
An extremely strong one. An extremely weak one. One who has lived far too long. And one who is too ki(nd)...optimistic. Medaka, Kumagawa, Ajimu and Zen. This might be interesting. Last edited by Wolfenstein; 2012-09-01 at 09:44. |

Well I have to say, It's awesome that they actually gave Kumagawa some actual character development because ever since the end of the President elections, he's been been put into some sort of a comic relief role. Kumagawa was awesome as the big bad, especially in the minus arc and imo lost most of his awesomeness in the latest chapters following Medaka around in her journeys while providing a few comments here and there. So it's a good thing that they show that there's still a reason for him to get air time in this manga.

A new Medaka Box novel will be released in October. It's titled "Medaka Box Gaiden - Good Loser Kumagawa Novel Version (Part 1) 'Suisō ni ugomeku nō darake'". Here is the amazon page: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4087032787
Kumagawa in a (at least) two part Nisio novel... This should be quite amazing.

Well there was this gender comparison popularity poll, and it pretty much showed Medaka, box to be the 3rd most popular amongst the males. The word gender popularity seems disgenious since it seems to really be a gender break down of fanbases. Basically Medaka box isn't very popular amongst females only Kochikame and Nisekoi beat it in male proportion of populations, with it judging from the sample having a 74.9% male fanbase.
Well we always knew Medaka box was more supposed "Otaku" based, so I'm not sure what I was suspecting. Still though it just seems weird considering how One piece has has more higher proportion of females than male, as does gintama etc, which was basically second on the female side. Meaning female reader's in Jump magazines seem to be a big deal. Judging how Kumagawa rapes the poll's I'm guessing the proportions of his fans being male or more skewered than the average most popular character in Shounen jump manga.
