Slight update with my SOTM Sept & Oct sig

Didnt have alot of time to spend on it, wasnt happy with it but entered it anyways.

Made the bg less orange, added more purple, a few brushes.

Ver 3 which was my final vers

Just some simple brush work over the top of the layer. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I found Halloween text textures so I was glad I didnt have to screw around with text this time

Hm, I like the light brushing over the girl. Mind if I steal the concept and give it a try on my entry? (Since we're using the same render, I thought it would be polite to ask.)

Love these two, especially the SOTM one. Haven't made a sig for over a month - I felt so very rusty while making my current sig (which I just did a few minutes ago ). *looks at it* sigh, feel like I just took ten steps back...argh.

...and your icon freaks me out. (...speaking of freaking out...YAKUMO IS COMING SOON!!!! SAW THE TRAILER...OMG, CAN'T WAIT!!! )

Thanks! I really love that FMA scan, had to make it a sig for when FMA:B ended.

Quick update, my entry for SOTM Nov, which is Steam/Cyber Punk. Decided once again to use Howl's Moving Castle since the castle itself is powered by Calcifer, the fire demon. Plus its just freaking cool I liked that in this pic you can actually see the steam coming from it.

Hooray for a steampunk entry! I'm so sad everyone is jumping on the cyberpunk theme...though I admit it's a bit difficult to find steampunk-related images. I feel people just aren't looking hard enough and just typing "steampunk" into their search engines. Go for "train" or "locomotive" or something!
Enough on rant...I'm in love with steampunk and I very much like Howl's Moving Castle. Really pretty image you're using in the sig ^_^ You gonna add any text to it?

I played around with text, fonts and placement and never came up with something I liked so I scrapped it. I didnt want to put text on the right side since it would cover up the steam coming from the castle. I tried for the lower left corner but again never came up with something I liked plus I didnt want to take away from the castle itself. Yeah I prefer Steampunk over Cyberpunk so I knew Id be using either something from Miyazaki or Last Exile

I'm glad you decided to keep Sebastian's face cropped. I didn't get a chance to say so in the thread, but I prefer that to a fuller view of him. It makes him seem more mysterious and / or dangerous. Love the red eyes addition on version 2.

I agree with LKK that cropping Sebastian at an angle like that is better than a full view of him - gives the sig a unique look. However, I prefer the text position in your current sig (and v1) than in the entry. Putting the text in the upper right corner draws attention away from Sebby, whereas putting the text in the lower left corner brings focus to Sebby. You can just lighten the area around the text slightly to make it more readable (refering to your current sig). Also, is it just me or did the quality of your sig decreased slightly from your current sig to your entry?

I played around with keeping the text there a lot but never found a good format since the bg goes from light to dark. No matter what I did, text either was too bright or too dark, so I moved it. But I do like it better where my sig has it.

I think cuz my sig is a lot smaller thats why it looks better, you can squeeze better qual out of a small sig I might try resaving once more see if I can get it below 50 but higher then it is.

Much better, thanks for pointing that out Sage. Yeah for some reason when I saved that other one it only saved it as a 10kbs file o_O so yeah Sebby lost much of his hottness now its 41k
