Ayatsuri Sakon - it looks like another dark and unusual series!
Just noticed that episode 1 of Ayatsuri Sakon is out after being fansubbed by Seichi. I'm excited. This looks like another series along the dark and brooding lines of Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari and Mermaid's Forest. I like scary stuff!
Found an informative review of Ayatsuri Sakon here: http://www.theblackmoon.com/Watching/sakon.htm Anyone else going to watch this one? |

Actually it isn't a "new" anime. It was aired in 1999 and was subbed by bakamx who did only the first 3 eps. It was reaired in 2003 (saw the commecial in ultramaniac) and we thought that we'd do the entire series. We hope that you sincerely enjoy Ayatsuri Sakon.

Odyssey/Gnomish called the series Puppet Master Sakon. Tapes can still be requested from www.soyokazefans.com and probably from a few other places |

Encoded to fit all episodes one on DVD...
Episode 2 and 3 should be released soon. Apologies for the episode 2 raw, the jerkiness came with the raw and finding a replacement was quite... challenging. Our BT tracker is also back up. And, since I didn't feel like attaching a prologue note, the bunraku song translation was what delayed the release for several weeks. The style of singing and language used makes it difficult to discern what is being sung, and the shamisen is played loudly in some key words. Naturally, our translators had much difficultly in translating it. I then asked several native Japanese people for help, but many were unable to help (this is somewhat analogous to native English speakers not being able to understand English opera). I eventually was able to ask a professor of Japanese language at my uni, who was able to provide a transcript in Japanese, which we used for the translation. So thanks be to her for the release. ~yay~ Last edited by K_R; 2003-12-22 at 05:59. |

I'm a fan who is willing to wait for good translated fansub episodes of any series. If it takes another week or two to get a good translation done, I think it's worth the wait. There really is no need to rush. Work at whatever pace is comfortable to you. And thank you for subbing Ayatsuri Sakon. ^_^ |
