Just watched and man am I psyched for the next month or so. With all the background covered we finally get to the good stuff 2-4 episodes of badass ninja fun.

For all of those who whine about the flashbacks just think none of what you are about to see would have been half as cool or a tenth as meaningful as it will now. I'm sorry you didn't start watching Naruto in a couple weeks so you could have seen all 80 episodes in a row.

Nice one! I actually enjoyed this episode. Pretty much Grade-A filler. Nice gaara development, a little repetitive on the naruto part. Good animation, quick Oro/Saru checkup. And yet I hated this episode. It blew the rhino, sucked the hippo and I tottally hated it. Do you know why?!?! THAT FUCKING GAARA MONSTER!!! ITS THE STUPIDEST AND BY FAR THE MOST UGLY, REVOLTING AND IDIOTIC "THING" IN THE ENTIRE SERIES!!!!!!111!!one!

From the preview of next episode it looks like Naruto summons Gamabunta. Isn't that like way overkill?

Plenty happened in the last two episodes: you get to see why the characters are the way they are.

There's no point in watching a series if you just blindly accept everyone's character traits with no background, and if none of the characters develop past "enemy of the week" status.

I don't think you see young versions of Asuma or Kurenai, unless they are the other ones in Kakashi's group, but that's highly unlikely. Especially Kurenai who's not as experianced as Kakashi and Asuma.

naruto:"I've got to summon Gamaoyabin!"
and then he summons that little frog, don't you think that this summon wasn't a mistake and taju kagebunshin no jutsu(intresting one) was made to use chakra, and all those techniques in next ep will be for this. then he'll be able to summon that big frog

P.S. I didn't read manga...

No, they're not. They have always been like that, releasing at saturday or late friday.

i betcha 5 bucks they are gonna have another 22 second scene of the oro-hokage battle...die already old man or oro..whichever, comes first..i don't care just die!! So we can see some more fight scenes...

Well i kinda did expect Naruto to try n Kuchiyose No jutsu... n expected Gamabunta's son to pry out.. .hahaha WHAT IT'S JUST A KID GIMME A SNACK OR ELSE I WON'T PLAY WITH YOU...i can't wait for son to bring forth the gamabunta again...hehe it'll look nice in the anime probably..
