I felt the same way about SSG at first. Perhaps its the same case and looks better in action. So far, I'm not impressed with any of whats come out, this feels like the usual slapdash movie story and just makes me itch for a series with some meat to it.

Anyway, that trailer was actually pretty interesting, though I noticed several instances of CGI character animation... which I really, really hate. But then I honestly never expected this movie to have good animation in the first place, so no loss there.

I'm usually not big at predictions but I'm getting pretty strong signals that Vegeta will be the main hero to beat Freiza in this film and not Goku. If I remember correctly, Toriyama or someone said that was gonna happen, so I guess here it is.

Don't forget the Original Kamehame. Now that what little hype there was for Freeza's new form has fizzled out, seeing old school fighters like Ten and Roshi in action again might be what I'm looking forward to the most (even if there probably won't be much of it beyond what they're already showing in the trailer ).

Also, it's mildly amusing that the main target of Freeza's revenge seems to be Son Goku and not the guy who actually "killed" him. I wonder if he'll ask about him, only for someone to say "Sorry, you'll have to travel in time to get revenge on that one." Might make for a decent gag.

He remembers Trunks just as much as Goku, at least. And we suspiciously don't see Goten or Kid Trunks in any material for the new movie yet.

Also, I seriously want Future Trunks back. He'd totally be able to rock the Super Saiyan God power, since he diligently trains like Goku and Vegeta do.

So the new form is just a recolor of Frieza. Well Shiny Frieza's don't come along often so I guess Goku and the others should be careful while trying to catch it.

It's nice that Rohsi and the other less powerful members get to fight even if it will probably only be for a couple of seconds.

Ok this is STUPID! SSGod is just a glorified Kaiohken mode, now we got freeza in gold?! SS armor freeza? Gimme a break Toriyama you really ran out of ideas. Either way disapointed now just awaiting the story. Hype died....

I think that scene is likely just Vegeta telling Goku to stop being a wuss.

Well yes. I mean Toriyama is known for going back to the well over and over again. Kind of why I think the manga should have ended after Frieza.

It's specifically stated to be canon, so it's not an alternate universe. They just forgot about Gohan again. And since they already updated it once to have his SSJ be flashier, I doubt they're going to remove it.
