It could also be not him. There was another old man with ventilator showed in recent chapters too. I get the feeling that Gosho is going to introduce different old men as suspects for Karasuma like he did with Bourbon and Rum.

I'm guessing it Karasuma with updated look. By hierarchy, Bourbon is more or less equal to Vermouth; only Rum and him can directly order him.

What made me curious is how he caught Conan involvement.

Since this case started, its Heiji who did all the job as Conan have to stay just in case.
Vermouth does told him about Conan at one point but she never fully confirmed it in respect to Ran and Yukiko, to realize he's the problem solver via texting requires great deal of attention from his seat.

Checking again, turned out there are two old men, yes.

First old man was seen on hotel fake bomb case, he got hair, short beard and using life support.
Square face, his body quite built. He's the one who happy to learn Mary turned out shrunk, survive APTX.

Second old man was seen on Kid's crown case, he's bald, got long beard, hawk pet and hawk staff.
He crushed his phone as he learned Conan became headlines (again) for defeating Kid, he's the one who ordered Bourbon in this chapter.

Well, if we go by Kaitou Kid manga, one of them is leader of BO branch that killed Kuroba Touichi.

I'm always curious when Conan and Kid will team up to defeat BO. Both have a score to settle against BO.

Kid wants to avenge his father's death, and Conan wants to expose them to the world and destroying it.

I think this is the one I was thinking of as being the boss. He also showed up in 1090, calling the police incompetent. Was driving a really old (and nice condition) car. Well, he had a driver, but still.

Thinking about it, that was a Heiji case that had Momiji and Iori as well...

Of course we're going to get 3 old men for Karasuma reveal as well.
Question now is when is no.3 going to appear and how long will Aoyama drag the reveal.
