Is this common for anime blu-rays? I've never seen anything like this before, but I admit I don't have that many anime blu-rays. Anyway, I got used to it pretty quickly, but I felt a bit more comfortable watching the crunchyroll version today. For comparison:

Anyway, I though I would mention this for those who cared, since it is kind of strange. I didn't want people who watched the crunchyroll version to be in for a surprise when they bought the blu-ray, if they are sensitive to this kind of thing.

From what I've seen (and I have a few series on blu-ray) that isn't common so it's most likely how aniplex have done things (it's also the same for the DVD version).

They defaulted with Kyoko and Sayaka. But I question about Mami being on the box.... (I feel it should be Homura).

Homura fits better for the third set. Second should have been Sayaka or Kyouko. You know, characters that are actually in the episodes. Unlike Mami.

So? Mami isn't even in the episodes, so why does she deserve to be on the box itself? And if polls are anything to go by, Kyouko is more popular than Mami.

There's nothing wrong with Mami being on the cover. I don't see a point in you all complaining... let the poor girl have her face on a box, while everyone else gets to be in the episodes and or on all the other goods associated with that set.

Believe it or not, Mami is a very popular character.. there's no arguing the character's popularity through a few polls because they really don't speak for everyone.

Anyhow, I'm glad they put her there. There's no reason why she doesn't deserve it.. Let's face it, without her takin' one for the team, there'd be no Madoka Magica. So haters, hate! Good for her

XD I had completely no problems for her being on the box... just that it should have been on the 1st volume (where she was relevant for four episodes). On the 2nd, Sayaka, or Kyoko would be relevant XD, on the third, it's either Homura or Godoka
