That's what makes that sequence funny though -- there's no real reason for Hannah to go through Naru's internet browsing history at all, and yet she goes and deletes it anyway. I mean it's not like she's browsing lesbian porn, right? Right?

Yeah, I also enjoy when characters are able to admit their shortcomings and actually try to do something about it, in this case, Yaya recognizing she was being very unfair to Naru. I don't mind if she stays tsun for a little while longer, though Hana was absolutely adorable and hilarious this episode as well with her tackle attack, overall energy, and the possibility of being a tease towards Yaya. Sorry girl, that's what you get for being so tsun. Don't stop, though Quote:

In the end Yaya just needed her own wakeup call in a sense. Being afraid she'd lose Naru if she found something she wanted to do, did more to hurt than help anything. Best to support Naru and just make it clear that she'd still be there for her. Doing otherwise is just underestimating that friendship from Naru's side of it. I guess the question is how long she keeps an eye on this and actually jumps in herself .
That's probably the reason. Best not to let Hana know she was checking it out before she actually went to talk to her on the roof the other day . Of course it's just comical in general so a fun scene for a variety of reasons.

One of the things I noticed in this ep were the little personality quirks that were animated as well - for example, when Yaya ran up the stairs to ask to see Naru dance, or when Yaya put and kept her hands in her jacket's pockets while apologizing and kept them there, even while scratching the back of her head and pointing towards Hana while saying she did not accept her. I like little things like that.
I wonder how much of a main character the yakuza looking fella from the yosakoi shop will turn out to be. He even shows up in the OP, so I would assume he will be contributing somehow? Interesting that Hana did always dream of being a ninja and trained in sports related thereto - freerunning. As others have said that is prolly as close to a "plausable excuse" for Hana being able to do what she does.

It's as good of an explanation as we're gonna get. This author really likes foreigners, it seems. |

Really. Naru is like a walking moe-bomb. I'm sure there are lots of people who can't stand that whiny attitude and voice, but I don't happen to be one of them. Great job by Ueda Reina.
Hana (Tanaka Minami) is still a bit much for me, although the character is coming across. However, Okuno Kaya as Yaya sounds like a real voice actress to me, despite being just as new to it: they probably both got their first roles (in Wake Up Girls) based as much on their singing as on their acting. All in all, I'm coming to have quite a bit of respect for Ishizuka Atsuko as a director. Those little details Flower wrote about were good.

Hana is basically going to be the troll of this anime and will undoubtedly guess all the other archetypes of the other girls. Possibly. In fact Hana has won best girl this anime for basically not only being fun genki personality but also outright stating that Yaya is a tsundere. It was was sort of funny because I was thinking during the episode in regards to Yaya's personality 'where have I seen this personality before?' Then Hana outright states that she's tsundere and it all dawned on me. Man I need to know the archetypes before Hana tells. I don't want to be beaten by a girl even if she's cute. Other then that this was a really good episode. Animation was so godlike and even though the dancing at the end was clumsy it was still beautifully animated. Man I can't wait until they properly do it (hopefully not the last episode) and it will most likely melt my eyes. Also that scene Naru when deleting her internet history. I'm really enjoying this anime and if it continues likes this I reckon we've got the winner for most cutest anime of the season (wait it already is).

I got the tsundere part before Hana said it. Yaya's little speech when Hana came to ask her to come watch Nana practice kind of gave it away "I-I don't have to make up with her. She's not my only friend so I'm not lonely..." etc., not to mention right before opening the door to the roof "I'm not here because I want to be, all right?" Stock tsundere phrases, adapted for the situation.

I think there was a good balance for characters getting called out. Yaya getting called out by Hana of course for being a tsundere, but even Hana's overly enthusiastic recruiting getting commented on by Naru. Definitely if someone chases after you with "yosakoi, yosakoi" it might scare you away .
