I'm being skeptical toward this one, as you all knows, Mahouka is a very high content novel, and i personally think that cover the entire school competition arc will take up to 24 ep, or they can just cover up to the terrorist arc but that's just isn't as satisfying.
This has been debated before isn't it, i still don't understand how is he plain.

Nice video, even if i didn't liked the novels already those images would hook me up. Specially when Miyuki summon her magic.
It appear to be scenes from the first 2 volumes. About the technical content i mentioned once, there are ways to deal with it. Like monogatari that has a recap episode between arcs, it can be an episode to explain magics every 5 chapter or some other way, like in the manga.

School competition will be adaptated in 12 episode I think. 26 episodes would better since there is a lot of content in the novel, but well ...

actually Tatsuya has been noted several times in the LN that he is just "plain and average looking" (still a bit better than Kirihara though

). On the other hand, Hattori and especially Masaki are said to be quite handsome. Though based on the illustrations, He - Tatsuya (IMO) is the coolest looking guy

For what it's worth the director is the same one who directed Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere which also had a lot of infodumping in the light novels.

actually Light novel illustration is good enough.
in the Manga, Tatsuya seems too handsome.
