Yes, the record was for the 6th to the 12th, and NT7 hit the shelves midway on the 10th.

You do realize 90% of all Light Novel series would never get to see those numbers?

It's already the cream of the crop, evening with OreImo/Mahouka and only beaten by SAO and Haruhi.

the first 3 days? is well above average, actually, if you get that in a month would be a good number for such series.

Both Maou-sama and Yahari's first volume barely broke 100k now thanks to the Anime's promotion, before that their sales were pretty underwhelming.

Heck, your series can make around 50k per volume that's already good.

That's pretty much the case with every LN that is hot right now, Index included.

And yeah like you said 50k prior to an anime is good.

Also Monogatari novels make more $$$ than Index, they sell about the same but for double the price nearly.

I was talking about the total sales of their first volume alone.

We'll know when it truly becomes big the moment their new volumes sell over 50-100k in the first week or two.

Index make up for that by selling more than double the total sales.

...Way more I believe.

But Monogatari novels are different. They might have similar number of pages, but it's larger in size and have more words per page (almost twice if not twice, I'd say).

And Oregairu sold 100k of its volume 1? That's a pretty big number.......

In terms of average sales per volume? Yeah soundly.

In terms of total sales? Not even close.
