I'll second Gintama, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and D.Gray-man, but i haven't seen Buso Renkin so i can't comment.
You could also check out: Fairy Tail! Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Chrome Shelled Regios Samurai Champloo Cowboy Bebop Just a few off the top of my head, but there seems to be a wide list you could check out with that general genre. |

Fairy Tail!
Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood D.Gray Man 07-Ghost - but mostly only male characters Bamboo Blade - This one is different since it is about Kendo and tounamnts, so no killing here. It's sports anime. And females play bigger role. Air Gear - similar to Bleach since main hero ugrades fast. It isn't fighting show but does have some nice action moments. Code Geass - mecha based. Fate/stay night - more seriouse one but nice action. Inuyasha Mai HiME - females play bigger role but it has nice set of characters and nice story. Good action and humour though later quiet a lot of drama but still good. Story wise a bit similar to Fate/Stay night. Pandora Hearts Soul Eater Toaru Majutsu no Index Toaru Kagaku no Railgun Valkyria Chronicles - more military and war based. Full Metal Panic - Mecha involved. Angel Beats If you want something more seriouse then: Ga-Rei Zero - has nice action, comedy elements but it is far more dramatic towards the end as well as darker and more gore. Claymore - darker series with more gore elements, females are main warriors. If you want to try to shooting anime then: Black Lagoon - haven't watched that one but I heard it is good. Canaan Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ - much darker one, not much humour involvement but really good in my opinion.
