Well seen as a few people here have already got hold of the OST in one way or another, has anyone found the track that plays
Spoiler for Tatarigoroshi Part 5:
That was one of the ones I was most looking forward to having and in the few times I've skimmed through it doesn't seem to be on here Typical.

So it's official, the 4th Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai video is coming out at C70.

なかない君と嘆きの世界-輪廻の刻は暮れゆけど- (Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai -Rinne no Koku ha Kureyukedo-) (that's long ^^; )

As expected, it's going to be based on Minagoroshi-hen. 羽乳、もとい羽入~

The song sample is up too:
http://www.kawachi.zaq.ne.jp/dpenu80...ashi/down.html
(the one labeled "rinne_demo.mp3 〈0.72MB〉")

Sounds like a beautiful track so far, just like all the others. ^^

A movie sample is also in the makings, can't wait to see it.

And don't forget the VA.
Ciel and Chie-sensei are both dubbed by Orikasa Fumiko in the anime versions.

Thank you so much, Sushi-Y! I got the demo on replay... must be my 50th time hearing it thus far. I hope to buy the CD later on though.
Oh, I forgot to say *covers mouth with the back of hand*

It's a great song isn't it? ^^ It's amazing how they managed maintain such high quality, catchy songs across 4 volumes. I'm looking forward to hearing the full thing together with the video. ^^

In other news, some samples for the songs to be included in the Higurashi image album, Kakeramutsubi, have been made available for listening:
http://www.animate.tv/kakera-musubi/song.php

It's looking pretty good. I think Rena's image song "when they cry" managed to capture the 2 sides of Rena quite well, partly thanks to Rekka-san's solid ability as a vocalist. Soft and gentle, then low and dark.

the arranged version of "you" sounds great too. Ahh... if only they would use it for the anime... A Meakashi-hen without dai-san's musics just doesn't feel like Meakashi-hen to me.

Liked the sample for Rena's song and the new version of 'you'. Sounds a lot more uplifting than the other versions which gave me more of a relaxed vibe Need Matsuribayashi to be out so I can order my answer chapters from paletweb, the question CD arrived yesterday.

In other news the official site now lists an OST 2 due for release on October 6th for ¥2310:

http://oyashirosama.com/web/item/index.htm#cd

Looks like I'll get that Tatarigoroshi track after all.

I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to this more than any anime episodes.

It certainly got Minagoroshi-hen's feeling right, I remember the game gaining an "epic story" feel around this point (because the scale has become so large) and I could sense that from this short 30 second demo clip.

Oh, although it looks like they're having an "angry stare competion", they're actually supposed to be showing "determination". Just to be clear.

why, or why not (Higurashi ED 01 Lyrics - Full)

To get my happiness I had done everything
but had done nothing to be blamed and accused of.
The sound of footsteps became louder every day,
Then I notice the fact there was no time.

I was a believer in life to be myself always,
and was asking whether I would be alive.

Give me a reason why not to adopt in this way,
or judge me to be guilty of so many incurable sins.
Tell me why, or why not. Complaining way too much,
maybe I overlooked something fatal for me.

The whole world was at a complete standstill,
and I was in fetters, at the mercy of the mob.
The silent warning became louder every day.
Then I kept pretending not to hear.

Its meaning had been in the eyes of the beholder all the along.
It had grown dark before I found a sign

"Among the nonsense tragedies, what on earth you are looking for?
You only have to be honest to yourself and your own fate."
Tell me why, or why not. Complaining way too much,
maybe I overlooked something fatal to me.

There is nobody who knows there will be nobody.
Excepts for me, all the world has gone mad.

So what is forgiveness you are willing to withhold?
What is the well-being you are willing to make?
Now what? So what? Don't you come interrupt me, oh please,
while I am interrupting myself.

A quick video I put together that shows Digital Network with some Game Club scenes from the anime, inspired by my friend who recently started playing through Onikakuchi-hen agreeing with opinions here that the Game OST beats the anime's in terms of setting the mood.

Very nice Wouldn't have thought of doing that but it fits really well, and that tune is one of my favourites (especially the second half). Still like both soundtracks though. but then again I've only heard the sound novel's music on its own.

Wonder what the consumer port's music's going to be like. We've got the original sound novel's soundtrack, then the anime's soundtrack, then the new one used in the demo you can download now, and then another one for the consumer port? Too many x.x

The fact that Kenji hasen't remade any of the Dai tracks himself for the anime is a shock to me.. i though he would have at least re-done 'Confession' or 'You'.

Ah well, in my strong opinion - the anime would have been a lot better using the original music. I'm not saying Kenji's music is bad.. the score fits perfectly with the series.. just, it could have been better.

Either way, I was happy to hear some of the original game music instead while listening to the Tatarigoroshi drama CD. It was pretty freaky since I ended it around 1-2 AM before going to sleep... I had to listen to some nice happy music to be able to sleep though. ^__^; And the many hours the drama CD had compared to the anime's 1:40 or so... *sigh*

I'm also happy I was able to understand the whole thing. XD I have very little confidence in my Japanese, so I'm always happy when I can fully understand something. <3

There's probably some concerns about using musics for a doujin game made by a bunch of amateur artists. The question arc musics, in particular, are all freely downloadable music tracks that Ryukishi-san discovered and used. But when it comes to a commercial product like an anime, it's probably a better idea to hire a professional music staff to create their own original soundtrack for it.

Unfortunately, BGMs are usually just that in an anime, background musics. Visual novel musics, on the other hand, often took the front stage, leaving behind lasting impressions. Can you imagine an AIR anime without all those game tracks (Tori no Uta, Natsukage, Aozora, etc.)? The same thing here.

Oh, since I discovered Stage6, which makes Youtube looks like crap, I decided to migrate over there (I can upload videos with much higher quality, no resizing, while keeping the file size small). Here's "Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai":

http://stage6.divx.com/members/66788/videos/2877

The quality is very close to the original file, but the file size is the original's 1/7th. Goodbye Youtube!

EDIT: While I'm at it, I uploaded the rest of the videos too:

Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai -Utage-

I uploaded mine onto Stage6:

No need to suffer through Youtube's low quality video/audio this way. ^^

By the way, the song of this video ("Rinne no Yume to...") is currently my favorite out of all 4 Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai songs.
