Can't wait for this show. The band kinda reminds me of ENOZ from Haruhi Suzumiya (which is a coincidence since both shows are made by Kyoto Animation).

I hope the music sounds good too.

Trivia: ENOZ was a nod from KyoAni in SHnY to a popular poprock band of the time - ZONE (4 girls who could actually play their instruments).

A more recent example of rather energetic girl j-pop band would be Scandal.

Just read the scanlation of the K-On! manga. I love the manga and it was funny to read too.

I have confidence on the K-On! anime and its going to be great. I can't wait to see all of the scenes from the manga animated especially...
Spoiler for Massive spoiler!! Don't read this!!:

K-On!

It seems that K-On is starting this week, though I am not sure which timeslot did it take over.

As far as I know Chihiro is subbing it, not sure if any other groups are doing so too.

Let's wait, and meanwhile I claim Tsumugi as MINE.

It's not aired yet. Last time I heard about it, it theorically take over Clannad's timeslot. So you have to wait. From reading the original comic, I like Mio and the Teacher the most.

Isn't there already a thread for this that just hasn't been moved yet?

@MrTerrorist

I wonder why you would post something (spoilers) if you don't want people to read it...

may I suggest the manga thread for all the manga-related comments, thoughts and whatnots, since there seems to be some trouble using the spoiler tags and a correct label...

Okay, the bassist is awesome. Then again I've always had a soft spot for bassists.

(snip)
Just a note, there is a manga thread for the manga of K-on! Manga discussion should go there. The mods practice a scorched earth policy on manga or light novel spoilers in anime threads --- covering them with a spoiler tag does not protect them from deletion.

If K-On! ends up with a subforum, then the manga thread will be pulled over into the subforum thread tree and this thread will be renamed "Generic".

She is Mio Akiyama. I claim her as mine first since someone else had already claimed Tsumugi in this thread.

^ Rats, I knew I should've done that. Ah well, I'll just admire her from afar. Or stalk her.

In that case, I claim the teacher! Because she wears glasses!

Judging from the original manga, no ecchi element.

Plus, Kyoani hardly do any ecchi, they're famous for not even having pantsu shots.
