Searching for Voice actors for my animation project
Last Year's Project: QUICKTIME | YOUTUBE
This year I'm embarking on a very ambitious 2D cel animation. I'm on the look out for some voice talent. Searching for voice actors for: Nuru (13-year-old male) Karin (6-year-old female) Soldier (male in his 20's) Radio (one-liner middle-aged, gender unspecified) Citizens of Agharti (one-liners, age unspecified, gender unspecified) AUDITION HERE Or send mp3 or wav files to my email. You can find the characters and their lines on that link as well. Sorry, I probably won't be able to pay you cuz I'm a struggling student. ~.~ So I'm probably looking for students trying to build their acting portfolios or anyone who just wants to experience voice acting for fun. I'll also send you a free copy once I make the package. (It'll have to be next year though.) If you live in Sydney, that's a bonus cuz you won't have to worry about sound quality. I'll just need to borrow a day or two (some time in June-August) to record. Otherwise, you'll have to send the files to my email in mp3s. Sorry, I'll have to be picky with sound quality. Questions: PM, email or post here. =) Looking forward to hear some auditions! |

Yeah, accent might be an issue. >< I'm OK with anything as long as the accents match and the acting is good... but from previous feedback my supervisors are a bit weary about american accents. They sort of had the "why do your voice actors have to sound american?" ~.~;; but in the end I have final say so... whoever impresses me the most will get it. =)
But yeah! that's great! need heaps of one liners! =D And I don't think accent will matter with a cough or a painful scream or crying. lol. Even the radio or the soldier might be ok. Thanks for your (wow fast!) reply. |

Lol. I've been voiced act for some of my friends animations before. I understand how hard it can be getting accents near the same and how they would sound in one animation.
I was the lead characters boyfriend ^^ :P Most he said was "hmm" and the odd line. Cool dude. As for the quick reply..I just logged in.

You voice act in your own animations as well?!?!
For the one liners i think it's best I go with around a young teen's part. I have kinda of a manly/girly voice, rather like a young female teen on testosterone. I hate my voice..

I learned of my warped accent when I was doing drama in year 10 and we had a substitute teacher who complained about it. XD Then... I did a test line of Nuru and my supervisor said I sounded like an Australian trying to sound American. ._.;; I was hoping it'd be one or the other. XD
And while were at it, might as well shamelessly post more attempts >.> ... here's my attempt (in japanese) of one of Karin's lines. ("Ame Da!" or "It's Raining!") Hmmm? manly/girly voice... that might actually be good for Nuru. A British accent might be interesting. o.O *shrugs* |

wow, your accent is a bit warped. Has to be said.
And about my British accent, it's not very British as you guys proberly think. It's not any of the posh, 'tally ho old chap' kinda stuff. I'll send you an MP3 of what i mean *goes to record* ehh...I'm to sleepy. And i rather do a one liner, i'm sure there are other young sounding people here.
