I like the comment: "Even though the Republican Party has repeatedly tried to make English the national language and build a wall so high it would rival the northern barrier in “Game of Thrones,” it still understands the importance of appealing to minority voters." Pretty soon they'll have a Castle Black! That would be kind of cool.

That is tragically funny -- unfortunately, it is emblematic rather than a slip up.

For a moment I thought you were talking about the Asian guy that teaches Spanish from the TV show Community.

MENA initially reported he was "clinically dead" upon arrival, but a security official said he was put on life support. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

House Committee Approves Sweeping, Warrantless Electronic Spy Powers:

"A House committee on Tuesday reauthorized broad electronic eavesdropping
powers that largely legalized the Bush administration’s warrantless wiretapping
program.

The House Judiciary Committee, following the Senate Intelligence Committee’s
lead last month, (.pdf) voted 23-11 to reauthorize the FISA Amendments Act. The
legislation, expiring at year’s end, authorizes the government to electronically
eavesdrop on Americans’ phone calls and emails without a probable-cause
warrant so long as one of the parties to the communication is outside the United
States. The communications may be intercepted “to acquire foreign intelligence
information.”"

Lol I remember my friend failing one of them despite saying they were easy seconds earlier. I've never had any difficulty with them and I don't know why some do. Still annoying though.

Every time I read about Wyden doing something awesome, I just kind of grin a little and think, "wow, just think if more politicians were like him..."

I tend to exploit the reCaptcha, by just solving the computer generated word and then entering garbage for the other one I am supposed to transcribe for them.

You can usually tell which is which, because the computer generated one is not a real word, but the other one is. Saves me 50% of the time and I don't feel like playing nice with these annoying things.

U.S. to slap "terrorist" label on Nigerian militants
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...85J1NC20120620
Quote:
In her letter to the State Department, Monaco of the Justice Department reported that since 2009 Boko Haram has conducted violent attacks against Nigeria's "police, politicians, public institutions and civilian population."

Monaco said that according to press reports, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for 510 victims in 2011, and also took credit for a January 20 attack on government buildings in Kano in which more than 160 were killed.
The terrorist label might be appropriate, given the attack against civilian.

Perhaps it's the primitive, simian part of my brain... but I can't help but feel happy he beat the guy to death.

That's a scandalous statement for the DEA to make? What are their real priorities? I think above all else, they want to keep all sources of revenue on the table, regardless of how justified their tactics are... Kind of reminds me of how Romney wouldn't agree that Obama may have been born outside of the country when questioned by a follower, but certainly didn't dispel that bit of misinformation, perceiving it may give him support. Only difference is, Romney is a much more cunning liar than this moronic woman.
