Yes, you are suppose to laugh at them for their stupidity.
As for the movie I haven't watched it so I can't judge, but I don't think you should let opinions of the idiots to influence your decision.

Red Dawn is such a bad movie.... Ugh. And I'm NOT just saying that cuz I'm Asian. :P

Russia is almost believable. North Korea.... not so much. Aside from a low population, they don't have the technological capacity to invade South Korea, much less the US. If the very premise of the movie kills my suspension of disbelief, how the heck am I supposed to enjoy it?

That is pretty funny, but I've seen people react badly to things like that, as in they would throw a punch at it regardless of the fact it looks like a little girl. Survival instincts and all that. So in a way she's lucky she wasn't smacked across the lift.
