Well, if you go that far you might as well rewrite entire technology feat.

I did the same in mirrorverse, where the physic are so fucked up that shonen arms race become a legit guideline when it comes to I.S. (also the reason male Ichika came in the first place). The high end level of I.S. battle throwing kilotons around.

I have a bad feeling about it though...

It's similar to that (in appearance and function), but not all.

Hmm... is it that far removed from canon?

It would creep the heck out of Tabane though.

And I could apply go-buster level writing in it. Like when Autumn steals the Byakushiki core, she actually succeeds. But since there are still fragments inside Ichika, he can still activate his IS. Technically the heroes didn't lose anything, but the bad guys got what they wanted

In regards to the Formula Frontal units, here's basically how it works in terms of switching between Out-Form and suit form:

And they don't get to use bracelet thingies(not now at least), the users need a suit for the unit to mount on.

The "Short Jump" came with the Silverbacks already. The hover part is for later upgrade. And there's more after that related to it.

And no, it'll fascinate Tabane, because it happened naturally than done artificially. That's entirely unexpected. That's why I meant rewrite, as in, in-universe feat rewrite. Once something happen naturally, someone, somewhere will try to reproduce it. It's inside human nature.

As for Autumn stealing, unless Ichika SOMEHOW create a fully functional core naturally, I don't think it's a win-win situation.

Not quite, but you're on the right track.

For that switch-between on the Frontal units, the only problem I see is that it's kind of a pain to constantly lug it around in it's Out-Form.

One thing about Formula Frontals is that their Out Forms are always vehicles(or anything that's has the means to be mobile), common ones being Sub-Flight lifters and Bikes.

Well, he doesn't have the Assisting AI, he has to function on his own brain. However the coreframe that's in him provides him with the processing speed of a quantum computer. DNA class hard drive and the functions of a regular core. The bracelet/gauntlet becomes useless and the IS is stored directly inside his body.

This is the creepy part, Ichika technically is the core.

He has been since second shift and it takes the loss of the core itself before he realizes he can draw power from himself.
