I actually thought Gray would come in after Laxus got the blood and was happy when I was wrong. It also kept the Tartaros Arc tradition of finding a creative way of finishing off the enemy.
Next episode though. We're gonna have a lot to talk about. |

Hmm, I've been watching this arc now and all I can say it that it's been pretty awesome in a lot of ways, At the start of it, it was pretty dark with what happened to the Councilors. Almost gave me the feels that this is going to be epic. lol
Lucy going alone when all others have been captured in Alegria (w/e it's spelt) was both satisfying and not so much. As in Lucy did do it alone with her spirits/power, but I also felt that a little bit more soloing the other enemies or at least attempting would have done even more wonders for her. imo. And I going to come right out and say that even though their really bad villains, I can't help but want Kyouka and or Seilah in the FT guild somehow. lol It would be different imo. But how would they get pardoned O.o Overall so far it been a great ride. Hope this continues.

Episode 82:
Well shit, Acolognia is back. Decent episode but the fight between Erza/Kyoka was less impressive. They focused more on the Big Bad returning. Glad to see Igneel appear though, that was waiting for I guess.

I do think too much of the episode was spent on waiting for things to happen .
That did kind of take away from the ep overall. Though will say the appearance of Igneel was awesome and the showdown with Acnologia should be insane. So um, does that mean that Wendy and Gajeel have dragons hiding in their bodies? Or considering we saw Grandeeney and Igneel talking....are they inside of Natsu? This is all very odd to be sure.

Seriously though, this might be one of the longer running arcs but it's so worth it. It's just full of so many epic moments, from Lucy's last stand, Gray's fight and powerup, now Igneel and Acnologia... To me this arc is easily one of the best since Tenrou. |

O-oh! More trouble for our team..
Acnologia is back! No wonder Natsu made that face. Dragon slayers were paralyzed with fear. Wtf?! Natsu's dragon came out of him!! Well, sure didn't expect to see that. It's nice to be surprised ^^

Wow....Mard Geer is an idiot . Went from Fairy Tail having no chance to prevail to actually giving them a chance to win this. All they had to do was relax and wait, Fairy Tail had absolutely no way of stopping Face or the countdown. But thanks to this trying to rush things bit, they've given them a chance to win. Erza's fight went from being completely meaningless to actually important.
Will say the Igneel bits were great though . That roar was pure awesome.

I have 2 questions after this episode... well, 3 actually. Where is Gerard? What is Makarov doing? Where the heck is Gildarts when there is a world crisis and Acnologia here?
Well, otherwise, it has been an exciting episode. For some reason, I don't think Igneel will have the chance to tell Natsu what Natsu wants to know because... Natsu will probably open the END book and cause all sorts of chaos.

Igneel is back!
So Acnologia was a man at first. Damn, that guy sure had issues to do what he did.. Looks like it's gonna take much more than Igneel to defeat Acnologia. Natsu just might do the trick! That Geer is bad news no matter how you look at it.

ep 82 & 83
Igneel, best Dad ever. "I've been inside you Natsu"... lol How many years it been since Natsu finally meets up with Igneel? Their reunion is during a huge battle... kinda fitting for Natsu, maybe. looks like Natsu and Gray are both getting a powerup (well Gray already did...) As for Face... well... a lot of RL leaders do at times want to Finish things off instead of dwindling it and wasting resources... IE: Wars, and most people do support the rush. A less than 1 year war or a 10+ year war.. which do you choose? Or in FT, 1+ hour fight or a less than 10 min fight?. Last edited by chaos_animagic; 2015-11-09 at 17:23. |

Episode 84:
Fairy Tail logic: the 7th sense. Nakama power. I think the fight felt a bit predictable in the end although it did capture the thrill of Erza's suffering at the hands of Kyoka especially in the first half. This was their most fierce encounter yet and it also felt like a battle against time itself (Face). Speaking of that...the timer D:

Well...this once again made Erza's fight entirely pointless. Went from not mattering since stopping Kyouka wouldn't stop Face, to mattering, to not mattering since she didn't actually stop Face. I mean good for Erza winning the fight....but this kind of felt like her most uninteresting one yet. Especially since there was no need for it. If she hadn't wasted her time dragging Minerva slowly around this place she might have gotten there in time to stop Face from being activated at all.
I swear this fight was just so Erza could be stripped down and cry out in agony for a long time. At least the dragons were pretty entertaining. That's a fight where just being in the vicinity is a hazard to one's health. But in the end it's better than the alternative of having just one of them around attacking the people directly. That would be a terrible mess.

The main problem with the Erza fight is really in how it ended. There was no doing something she hated to win (Like Lucy) or even finding a clever way to win (Like... well everyone else). She just wins because she had to. And she doesn't win anyway. Not to mention I have a feeling it was just another way to try to have Minerva "redeem" herself. Definitely the weakest part (Looking back most of Chapter 5 (Even in the manga) was meh compared to the rest of the arc. Chapter 6 (Which starts next week should be much better.)
