I really hope BT doesn´t erase the New Testamente project but I guess it all depends of the license Yen Press made, I hope it only covers the original series. But to be serious, many translators might continue to work in the new volume of NT upon release considering it would take years for Yen Press to catch on.

I hope they do since it has a pretty big following on BT, we proudly broke the servers whenever the new vol came out lol

The project page of BT for index mentions the MAIN series being license, we need more information to know if the NT translation project will remain intact, as for now we can only pray because by the time I can order NT 10 on Amazon it will be 2050.

Don't worry, going by this tempo they will reach the end of season 2 (Vol. 13) by 2020, that's totally bearable.

Honestly, if the latest index novels stop getting translated I'd definitely try learning how to read japanese just for index.

There weren't two series though right? NT and the original series are different, and if NT doesn't get taken down, or even if it does, maybe if Kamachi starts a third one that one will be allowed?

...can I at least have NT10? Please T_T We all know there's no way in hell they're catching up. By the time they reach NT, some other big LN will come around, they'll stop caring about Index and jump to the bandwagon.

I really don't want to badmouth the people responsible for bringing 14 sai no koi to this side of the world, but I can see nothing but bad come from this.

Still think people are jumping to conclusions way too much on this. Yeah, get the files before B-T closes it, but I don't think this will be affecting js06 unless he says otherwise.

I saved all the novels with back up just a week ago but I´m prying to God, Budha, Zeus and Odin that New Testament will remain or at leats Jos06 stills translated somewhere else.

This always happens lol. It happens with every spoiler summary, with every announcement. Nothing new.

Either way, I'd like to point out we aren't entitled to BT's fan translations of Index. They are technically illegal you know... and the only reason people like Yen Press didn't license the series before, was because there are so many illegal readers, that they think it might lower the people who'd buy the book if they translated it.

I'm happy they decided to publish it anyway. That's nice. It's convenient to get Js06's translations, but that doesn't make them legal... *cough*

Too bad official translations are always inferior to fanmade ones, for the sole reason that professional translations are always constrained by the factor of money.

That and the Philippines isn't really a recognized market for Japanese light novels. The only stuff you'd find are really old manga tankoubons, and you'd be lucky to even find one in the nearest bookstore.

Yen Press has been pretty good, at least in my eyes. I'm not looking for some saint-level translation. I know F-T's are better, but I'll take anything in physical form.

I understand that issue with markets though. Since this likely only applies to NA.

But as said above, he's not stopping.
