But if you think about it, Orihime has encounters with a LOT of guys--especially now that she's living with the Espada which is realm of good-looking guys--while Rukia only has 3 men in her life (Byakuya, Renji, and Ichigo)

Ichigo and Rukia are too dense to see the possibilities sometimes. A little jealousy might speed things along. A few makeout scenes between Ashido and Rukia might make Ichigo realize what he's missing. Although if Rukia ever sees Ichigo getting snuggly with another girl......I fear for his safety.

Ichiruki has always been the more popular pairing, yet there's Renji for Rukia and Orihime for Ichigo. (and then there's Uryuu for Orihime, but that irrelevant :P)
