Perfect start to the anime, honestly this was the arc I was most looking forward to and they spoiled me by starting with it.

i love the character design for the arc so far aside from the slight exception of zura and kyubei. i have an idea how it might solve itself but i do look forward to the rest of the season very much.

I agree, Gintama deserves its own sub-forum.

On episode 202, oh man... so glad to have this show back, no wonder it felt like my life was missing something!

Also, 16:9 makes me love this show even more, OH YES HD!

I haven't watched the episode yet but have seen the OP and ED! I liked the OP sequence, it made me cheer for the return of the show, not sure about the ED yet though. I've watched up to episode 127 or so of S1 so I guess I'll be paralleling with Gintama 2011, I'm very excited to watch it this weekend

Whatever arc they're starting with looks great from the posts in this thread so far!

Also happy about the new dimensions of the show

I agree about the subforum thing too... except I feel like a lot less people outside of Japan watch Gintama than they should D:

Hey guys, I want to ask an ancient question on the previous series of Gintama, which I watched sporadically. There's this arc where Gintoki and gang went to this Inn which serves spirits. And they make a joke about the spirits being "Stands". Can I verify that this is a parody reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険)? Since I don't read that, I'm not too sure. I need to get this "Stand" thing reference right for a translation work. ^_^ Thanks in advance.

I love the new episode, classic gintama. Poor Shinpachi even in timeskip he always get left behind, still the same old third wheel character.

It's ch 324 - 326. Ironically, this makes it after the four deva arc and a certain chapter related to Yamasaki and Anpan.

I think the joke is somewhat lost, because the original manga is just a golden week break instead of one year. Oh well, can't wait for the Harem arc!

Yeah, harem arc is going to destroy everything anyone has ever seen. When I've read time-skip arc I thought that nothing can beat this but chapters 336-339 proved me wrong. This season is going to be the best of all, I can tell you that.

Godly anime. Moments like these assure me that this is the best anime ever. Most godly anime kill their characters off once we get to know them and become attached to them (many/some characters in

pure epicness... although i do like the shounen battle moments in Gintama too.

I was wondering if there was any reason for Kyuubei to keep her/his sex change after s/he lost Otae-san to Kondo.

Zurako was just pure random...

I can't wait to see the changes to the rest of the cast

Gintama and Kagura's change seemed fairly typical but Sadaharu was a shocker, I knew Kagura would be quite the looker when she got older but man.... I'm totally blown away... I thought she was pretty cute in the"The World is yours" ending theme, (the one where she'srunning along the beach) but man.... no words can describe of Kagura's change or the Gintama episode itself.

Pure Epic...
