Sai is Danzou's greatest assassin, and he defeated dangerous jounin from all countries.

Danzou: "It is unlike you to fail a mission".

He was assigned a lot of missions to kill very powerful enemies of Konoha.

He is by far stronger than Naruto or Sakura, which many seem to forget.

Danzou: "You are the strongest of your generation."

Sai has shown excellent jutsu, from snake bind to bird summon.

Danzou: "Your art jutsu are simply amazing."

This was high praise indeed from the ninja who went against Sandaime.

So what is Sai going to do now that he cooperate with moderate Leafs?

I think he will become Tsunade's personal guard.

He was getting so cool man. Why can't they make a good and cool character at the same time? :S

I mean like keep sai on, or like what sasuke was before itachi ass raped him again.

I wonder what Sai's doing atm. Did he go back to Danzou for some training and getting him back to his previous emotionless state? I mean, Danzou noticed very well that Sai started feeling things he didn't before.

Sai cannot be a coldblooded assassin anymore. He has changed. I think he learned to have mercy. Because if he really wanted, he could have continued with his assassination attempt on Sasuke. It's not like he has some unequaled power except for Sharingan. Sai killed more dangerous and more experienced criminals from the Bingo Book, and the way Danzou thinks about him, it might include S-Class criminals as well.

-Notice that when Danzou makes that statement "It's not like you to fail a mission". He never mentions the fact that Sai diverted from his original objective which was to kill Sasuke-hime. Danzou may or may not be aware that Sai decided to to against the mission and if he isn't Sai may be branded a traitor to the Root ANBU.

its very possible that he is training with Danzou or hell maybe he is reading more books on learning how to make friends or maybe he is actually making friends someone where in fire country

I don't really think he has a teacher-student relationship with Danzou, more like a leader-follower relationship. I'd suppose (though without real basis) that he's self-trained.

Sai can go on missions alone, he is a very skilled jounin level after all.

He may go on a date with Ino, though.

sai learned ans still learning friendship with them also he asked permission from danzou to stick with them.he is trying to be friends.

i tought sai was a root anbu not a jounin.

I'm wondering if Sai could have defeated Sasuke if he really tried. They talk about Sai being incredible and killing many powerful ninjas. I wonder if Sai's heart were in killing Sasuke and he was focused on the mission, could he have beat Sasuke?

well sai s jutsu was overpowered by sasuke but both of them were not at the limit...they both have a lot of tricks in sleeve but i think sasuke could win on 1 on 1 but who knows...so much uncertinity...

Jounin is a skill level, it has nothing to do with who Sai works for.

Sai wasn't trying, either. In fact, he didn't intend to hurt Sasuke, not even for one second.
Surely it would have been a different fight if Sai wanted to kill Sasuke.
As a Root Assassin, he should have some very nasty tricks.

well there is not much time left and i am sure sasuke wont be overtaken by orochimaru.
so there should be an encounter soon...so
sai and team kakashi will whoop his ass or itachi will whoop his ass again,maybe kakashi will be doing the whooping with his ms that way sasuke can go back to konoha...

one way or another sauke and orochimaru will be separated...
