I started off really liking this spin-off manga, but as of the latest raw. Ken-chan has basically been non-existent, with only a flashback panel a couple chapters ago. Yuu's character is pretty stale as is most of those in the Kendo club. Poor little elementary badass needs more page time to make this manga better...

Started reading this last week and really enjoying it. Would be interesting if it becomes a series. I really really really want Ken-chan do do an appearance at Yuu's school Kendo club. wonder what everyone would think when they find out who this Ken-chan was?

Yeah, Ken's appearance will be hilarious when those middler schoolers realize that a grade schooler than beat them all. Not sure how that's possible though, but I'm still curious as to this series' tie-in with the original bamboo blade.

Actually the first chapter says the same era as Tama-chan.

So currently Tama-chan is in highschool while Yuu is a middle schooler.

ReddyRedWolf Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006	Spoiler for chapter 10: Renji and Jin visit elementary student student Ken-chan's dojo. Kid is too hot blooded thinking he should avenge Yuu. Yuu saying that is not the case. We also get the back story between those two. Surprisingly these guys barely match Ken-chan. It seems while Yuu does have an aptitude for Kendo all she lacks is confidence. While she doesn't understand boys mentality to be stronger they do look cool to her.
