They really went ahead with the events so much that it really doesn't look like an episode, but a summary by itself.
As expected, they really intend to squeeze chapter 2 into 2 episodes to the point the narration got toasted big time. Not only they didn't allow chapter 1 aftermath to sink in with the audience, but they are really jumping the shark with the transition, to the point the audience will really not care one bit about the characters. At least, I guess the investigation won't be as lacking as chapter 1 missing clues, but I will regardless edit this post and list them all, anime and those missing from the game. Some points that were missed that aren't clues, but are still interesting nonetheless TL;DR… Additional information for chapter 1-2, mainly trivia Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload? And now, for the clues for this episode:

Once I saw that weapon I hate myself for randomly stumble over one particular fan art last year which links one character with it.........
Anyway even with the culprit most likely to be that person let's see if I can piece all the clues up together. Firstly without reading any other hints Klash put in the spoiler above. Spoiler for deduction time:
My brain needs a break, I'll post another one once I clear my head more

While the additional scene and the humour is very good, Kishi Seiji is suck at adapting the original scene from the game.
They really blow up the budget for the OP and thanks for that, the 2nd half is pure QUALITY Still very enjoyable episode

A bit fast paced but still enjoyable. I didnt see Fujisaki getting it this time coming.

Spoiler for Fujisaki's issue:
Wondering what everyone elses embarrassing moments are but I have a feeling we won't know them like with the DVDs.

that opening was really annoying.
that was really fast, I find interesting that Genocider (who it look like is Fukawa) kill only male that could mean that Fujisaki is not what "she" look like, also we can said that both female and male changing room were switched, meaning that the killer was not female, but male.

I thought of that since given some of the clues that were missing, the rooms to look switched. which means the killer had to go into both rooms to switch the pictures, how is this possible since guys cant go in the girls and vice versa. and other IDs cant be used to open the door.

Interesting episode, and I liked how the MTB (Machine Talk Battle) mechanic from the game was used in the opening. Didn't enjoy the opening much, but the game mechanic referenced was unique.
Spoiler for Investigation Notes:
Now Leon and Chihiro were added to the ending song. I wonder who's going to be next.

So based on that video, Monokuma confirmed for male?
I find it strange the many things that were done in order to save time or reveal multiple perspectives, rather than sticking to Naegi's. I still think that they should have stuck to his perspective and not shown the girls' locker room two whole times prior to the murder. Though I suppose that would require them to treat these investigations like something to pay attention to, instead of something they have to include. Hmm.. So many mistakes. They just piled them up over the course of this episode. What a disappointment. Also, they appear to have added a couple of songs to the anime. Not a bad thing I suppose, but interesting considering the game's many great tracks.

Chihiro... She was probably the most purehearted student aside from Naegi (they're very similar, really, to the point where I'd basically consider Chihiro a more subdued female version of Naegi), and one of my favorite characters to boot. I'm a little sad she's been knocked off this early in the game, though on the bright side this does mean that she'll be a focal point in episode five.
I thought it was nice how Naegi pinned the blame on Leon and Sayaka this episode for the recent tragedy, despite having been infatuated with the latter; it's a nice demonstration of character, that despite being warmhearted, caring, and loyal, Naegi isn't a sap and is pragmatic enough and mature enough to call a spade a spade. It also occured to me that his basic disposition and mindset doesn't seem as shaken up as one might expect, given the terrible things he's going through. I suppose that at this point, they all more or less view the incident with Leon and Sayaka as an isolated event, and that the nature of the game they've all been trapped within hasn't fully sunken in yet. Maybe Naegi will become more despondent and unstable as the deaths pile up and the atmosphere steadily grows more sour. The 'embarrassing secrets' Monokuma threatened to reveal also made me wonder if the others' are as trivial as Naegi's. I guess I'd be slightly embarrassed if I wet the bed until 5th grade and that fact was spread around somehow (I can relate because I peed the bed in 6th grade once), but if I had to choose between killing someone or having that secret revealed, I'm pretty sure I'd go with the latter. That got me to thinking, though, that maybe Monokuma simply doesn't have much dirt to dig up on Naegi because he's a good person with no real skeletons in his closet, and that Monokuma's game works as emotional blackmail because the other students have secrets much more potent. |
