The point I was hoping would be focused on would be Isshiki and Kuroki being conflated with Hino and Aoki, but yes, Wakaba/Himawari have a pretty strong vibe.

Maybe after they become friends, then we'll see more of that. Right now Rei and Akane aren't exactly on speaking terms, and the Himawari Wakaba pairing didn't surge until the episode aired

One thing I didn't see anyone point out. While Rei may be a beacon to guide the Alones to this world, they managed to find this world and put Rei on it without a beacon. Which means, they don't need Rei to find this world.
Rei is therefore even less important to their schemes than has been shown.

Episode 11:

Lots of animation shortcuts, speed-lines, and BIG CHAIRS this episode, which makes me hopeful that episode 12 will go out with a bang. Looking forward to next week.

Also, I realized a lot of the dialogue in this show makes pretty perfect sense in real life if you just remove the stuff about friendship:

"Humans, you see, require water, air, and light in order to survive."
vs
"Humans, you see, require water, air, light, and friendship in order to survive."

I find it hard to imagine any science teacher saying the latter.

Maybe in kindergarten.
