Hate to poop on your dream but that's unlikely to happen. SRPG is a pretty niche genre and Bethesda is sort of a one trick pony with open world RPG. Also i m guessing they would want to squeeze some money back using Creation Engine that was developed for Skyrim on the Fallout properties so it probably be something closer to Skyrim type of game.

Nah, should just farm it out to another studio and make a proper srpg instead. Then we can get 2 proper Fallout game instead of 1 half assed hybrid. Firaxis' X-COM shown there's a market for it (albeit not a big one). Imagine Fallout using X-COM mechanic, that would be fun.

Oh, from the looks of it, this matches up pretty well with the Kotaku leak from shortly after the "Survivor" hoax. Which means the voiced protagonist in the trailer isn't just there for the trailer, it's there for the actual game.

So judging from the trailer where we see Pre-War life before the bombs dropped, the MC is possibly from the Pre-War era and was cryogenic frozen in Vault 111 before being awoken in the present of Fallout 4 which probably takes places after the events of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Hopefully we learn what happened to the NCR and DC branch Of the Brotherhood of Steel since the last games.

Hard to say considering most of the Vaults were experimental which were meant to be opened at different time or at all. For example, Vault 13 was supposed to last 200 years as a control group while other Vaults were opened up much earlier.

It's possible for Fallout 4 to be set in any part of the timeline.

You see, this means the settings might somewhere around EC, and sadly, be directed by Bethesda rather than Obisidian, who did a great job with New Vegas by actually connecting it to the original Fallouts.

And to seal the deal, the theme from the trailer seems to be a remix from Fallout 3's main theme.
Dont get me wrong I'm hype and all, and FO3 was a great game, but under Bethesda direction they tried to reinvent the series, and I personally, as a vetaran from the series, didnt like their liberties!

There is multiple was they might do it. Could play as your dad as a young teen for the pre-fallout moments then play as the kid. Could play as the child and be able to look at everything happening around like Sarah in Last of Us.

I like the second idea actually.
