So... the next volume's commentary will be Senjougahara and Kanbaru? The Valhalla combo? Should be interesting, although it kind of throws a wrench into my expectations of how it was going to go. Well, listening to Hanekawa calmly explain things forever was starting to give me a headache actually... |

Since now buying DVDs/Blu-ray is for the sake of collecting or supporting the makers. If someone was a fan when they bought the first volume, maybe by the 3rd or 4th volume they're a fan of something else and don't want to waste money on the first series they bought. That's what I always thought. At least that happened to me many times when collecting manga.

Even with "only" that Bakemonogatari has the stronger first volume sales since introduction of DVD... after Gundam Seed series of course. quite the achievement
and.. uh? Blu ray sales are rising again? Hitagi Crab is still healthy (even the DVD is often in the daily top20 anime chart). |

Even some guy like me in country far away from Japan bought the Blu-ray so I made my contribution^^.
I put some pictures of the set and full HD screenshots on my website: http://www.sos-brigade.de/wordpress/?p=3940&lang=en

Mayoi Maimai is 8,400 yen = 92.9628 USD, although Amazon.co.jp has that slashed to 6157 yen = 68.139519 USD.
Apparently this is about what it looks like.

Mayoi Snail DVD+BD. First week's Blu-ray sales is about 39,000 copies, broke K-on! record of 33,000 copies and become best-selling Blu-ray in TV anime. (source: AnimeAnime)
