Wow Barnaby overheard Kotetsu talk about his retirement and get slapped for it. Poor Kaede has to wait more to see her dad. Nice to see Kotetsu go back and try to help him after watching the interview. Wow so shady Maverick is the mastermind, too bad Barnaby won't remember now.

I do wonder how much well known a terror organization Ouroboros is.

For 20 years Barnaby has been looking for links to it yet coming out nothing.

It seem advancements in Hero Suits are attributed to the Brooks work. But is really an offshoot of their robotics research. They noticed Maverick was leaking their tech. This is likely the mech power suit technology Ouroboros prefers.

Now I can see also a possible link between Ouroboros and Rotwang. Where did Rotwang get the Heroes data for his androids in the first place? Answer through Maverick. Ouroboros seems to believe in technological superiority.

On another note T&B seems to being set up for a second season with a possible dangling plot. Namely Ouroboros as the antagonist. I can also see new heroes. I dub Kaede as Copycat. In theme with the Chinese Zodiac going on. The Cat being the late comer thus excluded from the zodiac.

My guess is that its a pride thing, Kotetsu is having difficulty admitting that he's losing his power to his highly valued partner.

Kotetsu is certainly digging himself into a hole and his inability to be honest is only hurting those around him. If he hadn't "pushed" his partner away the episode ending could have been very different.

I have to wonder, though, what Maverick's plan for covering this up is going to be. Would simply implanting new memories be sufficient or is he going to need to take more extreme measures with Samantha and Kotetsu being ties to the truth. To take this even further what sort of potential does memory implanting have? Can Maverick completely redefine Barnaby's life? Can he turn him into the evil villain that everyone here joked(?) that he would become in the end?

Ever seen the Justice League Unlimited episode Epilogue? The episode reveals the future Batman Terry McGuinnis as a half-cloned son of Bruce Wayne. Amanda Waller felt the world needed a Batman and set upon Project Batman Beyond.

Through nano-tech Amanda had Mr. McGuinnis sperm altered secretly as Bruce Wayne's sperm. When Mrs. McGuinnis get pregnant and the couple raised the boy at the same age as Bruce Wayne lost his parents she would have them killed to create the same conditions that led to Bruce Wayne to become Batman. Only the assassin an ex-lover of Bruce Wayne didn't go through with it. Terry lost his dad to murder and still became Batman meeting a old Bruce Wayne.

Maverick wanted a golden boy to replace and be the new Mr. Legend in the public's eye.

I think he felt terribly guilty about what he'd done, too - that has something to do with it.

I wonder if that pin is somehow going to be the key to recovering Barnaby's memories or at least remembering that someone has been altering them. I went back and rewatched an earlier episode and that pin actually appears in the first ED theme with the two of them reaching for it.

I'd think so. Maverick did say that the tiniest contradiction seems to cause the planted memories to unravel. Considering the drama that went down between Kotetsu/Barnaby at the skating rink there's bound to be someone (like the nurse) who could trigger something should Barnaby go there to investigate.

Personally, I wonder if Agnes is even aware of the corrupt methods that Maverick is utilizing in order to ensure that Hero TV is a ratings success. After all, the bomber in episode 3 did go after her (along with Tiger and Bunny) a few episodes later in order to get rid of those people who have discovered what he did.

However, at the same time, I now have a feeling that Lunatic is aware of Albert Maverick's scheme, which is the reason why he's been killing those criminals that have commited murder: they're pretty much being released because, outside of NEXT's who use their powers for evil and those regular thugs with no connection to Ouroboros, their actions could easily garner ratings for Hero TV. After all, keep in mind the main reason Casanova Frankenstein, the main villain in Mystery Men (a film that has parallels with Tiger and Bunny), was released from prison in that film was because Captain Amazing, the biggest hero in Champion City, was more interested in sponsorships than the safety of the town. Hence, knowing about the corruption behind Hero TV (especially during the time where his father, Mr. Legend, was the big star of Hero TV), his "brand of justice" is probably a way to counter Maverick's methods of attracting viewers (especially if the murderers are going to be released just so they can commit crimes that would be televised).

Back to the episode discussion, so what will be happened NEXT (No Pun intended)?! A rebellion of NEXT, neither Kotetsu or Barnaby could be kicked out on HERO TV, Kaede might be brainwashed by Mr. Maverick?

Great, IF one of them occurs, then a 2nd season might be green-litted.

I hope this thread will become a sub-forum soon since there's a lots of T&B pics & mechandizes that people need to share anyway.

I got the impression that Maverick has more tricks behind his sleeves. Other than that, I don't think they actually shown or mentioned when Barnaby developed his powers, besides at the moment most of his memories seems to be all altered by Big M.
