It can be considered a harem if you include Sorata sister who's a brocon.
But she's just a supporting character and she doesn't appear much.
Nowadays practically every light novel has a sister with brother complex so I wouldn't consider her as part of the harem.

But I guess people don't call it a harem because in most harem, all the girls that like lead guy are part of the main cast but in this series she's just a supporting character.

I guess so. The type where the main girl's presence is a lot bigger than the 2nd main girl.

In fact their romance is my favourite part(as in story) in the novel.

They are childhood friend and their romance mirror the main couple. Girl is genius(talented) but guy is normal and he struggles. He feels that he is not good enough for her.

Well, I had read something about this romance.

I think this story I do not like.

What I interpret is Jin is not a playboy when he was dating Misaki's sister. But when he was dating her sister, her sister told him that he is in love with Misaki. She told him that he date her because he does not want to hurt Misaki and he's only using sister as a replacement of Misaki. After that, she break up with him and he become a playboy.
I *think* Misaki sister is his first girlfriend.

I think that still do not like the romance between Jin and Misaki. Jin in love with her, but he goes out with her sister and then becomes a playboy, I do not like that story (I think that hurts more to Misaki). Maybe I dislike the situation because I do not like playboys characters.

Yes. The postscript for volume 8 mentions that the author plans to finish the story in two more volumes.

Anyone familiar with the LN know how faithfully the manga adaptation is?The anime does thing differently from the manga so I was wondering which is closer,though of the two I definitely prefer the anime.

Just take the meeting between Sorata and Shiina,the manga doesn't have the sunset + chery blossoms + train going by like the anime does.Nanami hasn't even appeared in the manga yet and she's introduced in the first episode. Mitaka is introduced differently in the anime and manga as well.

The part on Nanami, Sorata and the cats are explained in the latter volumes or latter chapters so the anime just bring it forward instead of explaining it later.
