i think both IB and whatever it's sealing inside Touma still have a role to play in the story

that said, Touma himself may well be dead, and Accelerator and Shiage would take over as main characters...meh, and either Fiamma or Styil, if Kamachi feels he still needs a main char for the magic side(though at this point in the plot, magic and science should no longer be separate)

Well, the existence of magic has pretty much been revealed, it's just that they are calling it another form of esper development. From the public's perspective, it's all just supernatural powers, so for all intents and purposes, they have been revealed.

Here's a question. About Xochitl's body being used for the grimoire, can someone elaborate a little?

Touma was voted number one and still has ALOT to do with the story. Seriously what about the girls? I just started having my top Favs in his harem Misaka, Itsuwa,& Kanzaki. He's also have to have his past told. To end Kamijou for KAMIjou won't do any good.

Touma dead for good. that wuld be the gratest mistake ever, Touma is extremely likeable to readers. having him killed killed. wont rly do much good.

i wuld not be surprised if some drop series. I wuld! toumas bad luck is awesome. and has a huge influence in the story . heck its all bout the kamijou faction

exactly, it wouldn't work at all. The whole series is 90% based on him. The story plot says its based on him.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it's a "Superman death". He's dead long enough for all the funerals and for the world to go to pot a little bit, but then he's BAAACK! I'm sure there's a female supernatural being with the ability to save/resurrect him that's fallen for him at some point or another...

The Aztecs had human sacrifice rites (something like a belief of cannibalism will allow them to ascend to heaven), and based on a similar concept her grimoire was made from a powder that's from her body's flesh being grinded down - so the two will have a connection. This is from Vol15 Ch3 Pt12.

Index is currently a bestselling LN series. Its sales have beaten the total sales of Haruhi, Shana, Toradora!, Zero no Tsukaima, Kino no Tabi, Durarara!!, etc. It dominated the LN rankings in all categories as well.

So yes, popular is an understatement.
