Love Hina manga is definitely better than anime.
Video Girl Ai and DNA2 are nice. I would suggest give Touch a shot even if you've read manga. While the anime follows the manga pretty closely, it also shows more subtle details that are not in the manga. Also and masterful job done by VAs literally brought many of manga's famous line into live and still have a profound cultural impact and recognition even to this day as you can still hear many references of it in shows and drama. IMHO, It's one of those rare anime that the adaption is at least on par with original if not better and considering the pedigree Touch is on in Japan and East Asia, that's pretty special, if I would said so myself. Besides, the OVA and movies basically extends the series and are mostly in good way.

Manga goes deeper and is better developed. The last 3 OVAs were almost like 1/4 away from the end if not more. There is a lot of stuff happening before that and after. Characters are also better developed as well as whole romance. My favorite character in the series was and still is Motoko and she got great moments and developments in manga. Anime barely covered anything and had made some changes to the situations which in manga got better explored. It really is worth a read if you want good comedy with romance.
