Hah, I feel your pain. I've edited mine in word about a million times. Might I suggest that you just leave the tailed beast out? Your character is perfectly fine without it and even seems more original with the tailed beast left off. Just a thought though . Oh, by the way awesome sig. Love it.

I've finished my two characters for the most part and posted them in the following spoiler tags. I'm still working on Hikari's jutsus but I can't seem to come up with anything that hasn't already been done. Hopefully I'll get some feedback this time as they are my first characters. Anyone not willing to do a bit of reading just disregard(or skip to the jutsu I suppose) cus they are somewhat in depth. lol. Enjoy.

Personality:
Hikaru is a very quiet individual that usually only speaks when spoken to. Known to usually have the answer to any question, just so long as you think to ask him. Is considered to be a little strange, but to the characters he does open up to he is known to be quite pleasant. This is mostly shown through interaction with his sister and a few friends. He is very quick witted and always aware of everything going on around him…even if it doesn’t seem like it. Usually spends most of his free time with his sister or training alone. He has also been seen watching others train and sketching in various locations. His continued studies and interest in becoming ninja remain a mystery as he has long since obtained his original goals.

Background:
Hikaru was born into a disbanded clan which had not practiced jutsu since the time of his grandfather. The clan had previously been known to practice genjutsu but was not exceptionally well known. He has one sister (two years younger) named Hikari whom he is very close with but rarely refers to him as oniichan. She instead typically refers to him in a slightly whiney voice as "Hikaar-uuu". At the age of 5, Hikaru developed a disease permanently blinding him for life. After two years of living with the blindness, Hikaru and his sister discovered several scrolls written by the clan generations before for the purposes of training. With the help of Hikari, he translated the scrolls to brail and began to secretly train with his sister in hopes of learning something that would help him regain his vision.

Eventually, Hikaru’s family found out what he had been doing. While most were opposed and worried about him, a few supported him full-heartedly. Being an incredibly bright child, Hikaru picked up on things very quickly and began to master many simple jutsu. He soon discovered that by molding the light to his chakra it might be possible for him to see. Eventually he developed a ninjutsu that could essentially bend the surrounding visible light. With ever increasing success Hikaru began to see again but never regained the use of his normal vision. Using his new found ninjutsu to see soon became second nature as it was used on a daily basis at almost all times. The ninjutsu that he had created made him quite adept to the use of genjutsu. His ability to affect the other senses was equal to that of an average genjutsu user but his control over sight was highly advanced. Not only could he easily affect people by making them see thing that were not actually there, he could essentially make them see nothing at all and leave them in total darkness.

At the age of 11, Hikaru joined the academy but had trouble progressing at first due to the fact that after strenuous use of his chakra his vision suffered greatly. Lowered amounts of chakra basically meant that he could no longer clearly see and would eventually cause his failure of exams. After then training with a personal instructor in the arts of taijustu, he began to learn how to fight without seeing by using his already slightly enhanced other senses due to blindness. This taijutsu training greatly improved him as a well-rounded ninja and at the age of 13 he finally achieved the rank of Genin. He then quickly went on to gain the rank of Chunin during his first exam, just after turning 15.

Current Jutsu:
Infinite Solitude: Envelopes the user in a genjutsu of complete darkness. Without sight, sound, or touch the victim has no reference to direction, location, or anything else for that matter. Prolonged exposure to this jutsu has been known to cause temporary insanity. Escape from this jutsu has become increasingly difficult as Hikaru has become more skilled and once escaped it is often found that Hikaru still has control of the victim’s vision.

Mirage Clone: Similar to standard clone technique but more difficult to tell the difference between since Hikaru can make it appear as if his clones are actually disrupting their environment. Some people have incorrectly assumed that this jutsu was actually Shadow Clone due to this fact. The more clones there are the more difficult it is for Hikaru to make them appear as if they affect the environment. Normally only a small number of clones (3-4) are used for this very reason. Hikaru also has the ability to make different opponents see different images at the same time. For example, he could make his clones (and himself) appear as all Naruto to Sakura, while making them (and himself) appear as Sakura to Naruto. This additional ability has gotten him out of many difficult situations. The other difference between this jutsu and that of the standard clone technique is that when a clone is hit from a distance it usually doesn’t dissipate. Unless the clone is directly hit by a body part and felt, it is difficult to tell if it was real since Hikaru can make it appear as if kunai and such have actually stuck the clone.

Dance of Deception: Hikaru uses his ability to easily deceive the eyes and quick taijutsu to unleash a combination of unblocked attacks. This move is usually effective in a sense that Hikaru deceives the opponent's eyes into seeing him attacking one area thus forcing them to block that location. In actuality, he is attacking them in a different location but this real attack is not visible to their eyes.

Greater Dance of Deception: An adaptation to the Dance of Deception, Hikaru first makes himself completely invisible to the eyes and attacks the opponent without them ever being given a chance to see where these attacks are coming from. Hikaru has been known to create images of himself while doing this attack in order to further deceive teammates of the opponent while he strikes the victim of his choice.

Endless Vision: Hikaru is able to bend the light in a certain radius allowing him to see greater distances if focused one direction allowing him to things that would not have been visible otherwise. Hikaru is also able to use this ability to see around objects and into enclosed areas at shorter distances. This ability however can only be directed into a small radius or focused into a one direction at this time. Using more chakra would allow him to enhance this greatly but would leave his vision impaired or absent all together afterwards with the loss of the chakra.

Pros:
Increased control over vision in many aspects. This control is easily adapted into other jutsus. Incredible control of his chakra due to the fact that he is constantly using his ability in order to see.

Cons:
Hikaru’s inability to see without chakra makes jutsu requiring larger amounts of chakra considerably less likely. It is also true that as fights go on and Hikaru’s chakra lowers, his vision becomes more and more impaired. Also, even having strong use of genjutsu, Hikaru has yet to gain complete control over the other senses due do the fact that most of his training has focused on sight.

Personality:
Hikari’s personality can be briefly summarized as bright, cheerful, and clingy. Sine she is constantly looking for attention and approval from her older brother Hikaru, most times they are considered to be inseparable. At the same time however, they are also viewed quite often as polar opposites. She is deemed by many to be quite silly and/or daring at times as she has very little regard for political correctness. Hikari’s bright personality and outgoing nature make it quite simple for her to gain friends and fit into almost any group with ease. Her small stature commonly makes people underestimate her and comments regarding her size easily anger her.

Background:
Hikari’s interest in being a ninja mostly seems to focus around being more useful to her brother even knowing that he is now fully capable of taking care of himself. She has been vital to her brother and his learning to cope with his disability for as long as she can remember. At the age of 5, upon discovering the family’s scrolls, Hikari began to study with her brother in an effort to help him regain his sight and assist him any way possible. The majority of her efforts focused on the senses other than sight in an effort to better be able to communicate with Hikaru.

At the age of 10, Hikari entered the academy with the consent of her family and considerably more support than her brother received. Having learned most of her abilities from the family’s scrolls while secretly training with her brother, most of her jutsu have focused around the use of genjutsu. Unlike her brother however, she has not focused on sight alone has become a more well rounded genjutsu user, albeit at a lower level. Even though her use of genjutsu over all is viewed at a lower lever than Hikaru’s, she is capable of individually influencing the senses other than sight better than he is.

Hikari gained the rank of genin quite easily soon after turning 12 years old. While not regarded as a genius she still had the advantage of her knowledge and training prior to entering the school. She was recently recommended and tested for Chunin but failed during the second part of the exams. Her training more recently has focused around ninjutsu and taijutsu in an attempt to become a more well-rounded ninja. This training was also a result of her strong desire to find something that she excels in, as well as something that defines her.

Current Jutsu:
Dance of Deception: Having gone through much of the same training as Hikaru, Hikari is able to use this jutsu as well. She is only able to use it at a much lower level than Hikaru due to her lower level of genjutsu use. However, physically she is more efficient than Hikaru and is quick enough to make up the difference and still accomplish the technique. Not having the limitation of losing her vision with the use of chakra like her brother, Hikari seems capable of learning higher level or more chakra taxing jutsu. Hikari doesn’t seem to be bound to any one form of fighting and can quite easily pick up and mix different styles of fighting

Cons:
Hikari doesn’t have much separating her from everyone else and this causes her to be easily predictable in battle. Not seeming to have great control over the senses yet, her low levels of genjutsu use seem to be less effective and quite often are seen as a mere nuisance to higher level ninja. These genjutsu seem incapable of holding anyone at a higher level than her for very long. If placed in a situation against a stronger opponent, they are often dispelled with not much effort and tend to waste her chakra.

thnx i'll think about editing the tailed beast out good suggestion the problem is his original village is burned down by akatsuki and y else would they attack if not for the tailed beast...nyway thnx about my sig haha

in this jutsu ninja surrounds himself with a whirlwind of shuriken and kunai. The ninja then uses body flicker to move out of the whirlwind, using his chakra to kep the whirlwind moving. Upon inspection of the whirlwind by the opposing ninja, the ninja performing the jutsu releases his chakra, impaling his enemy with a rain of kunai and shuriken. I don't have a name yet so please post suggestions.

sry if I sound like a jerk but by chance did you read the rules? if not check them this seems a BIT to powerful add a few disadvantages like huge chakra consumption, you might die,ect,ect,ect just a thought

bio: almost 18 years ago in the waterfall village a long battle took place almost destroying the waterfall village in the end the survivors found the child sanji in a bombed out building near the silver katana in a weapons rack they found that the second katana that was in the rack had disappeared (see second sword is kuro yamas the black katana that is) and the waterfall village could not find the parents so they allowed the erinda clan who had found him to take care of him since the sword was found with him he was given it when he turned 12 when he started training in the academy at 10 he and kuro yama were set up as teammates along with (I need help GIVE ME IDEAS FOR A 3rd NAME preferably a girls name)

Jutsus: type ninjutsu name dark waters in this jutsu the user creates a large wave appear behind him covering the area in its shadow going forward twoards the target sanji using his chakra to make the wave follow the target
Disadvantages large chakra consumption needs to be near a large body of water

Ahh, I suppose it makes sense with your story. It just seems like every other person in this thread has a tailed beast. And your character seems fine without it. Not many people in this thread give honest feedback either, so I thought I would. If the problem is with them atttacking the village for the tailed beast couldn't it have been either rumored to be there or contained in someone else? That would solve the problem of why they attacked .

jutsus: type kekkai genkai (ok I have no name for this I know I suck) well this jutsu can do 1 of 2 things1 it can deafen the opponent for a short amount of time while this might seem as an advantage it can effect allies nearby you see the way it works is she energizes her vocal chords wit chakra and screams main reason its not used a whole lot in missions(big duh there) but its good for singe 1 on 1 fighting the second is she can improve her own hearing to astronomical proportions by of course energizing her ears wit chakra again sounds advantaegous in missions but it harms her ears horridly if someone in a hypothetical sense were to say put a metallica CD on and turn it up as loud as they could(and thts painful normally I should know I tried*rubs ears*) but its great for spying on enemies

Bio: An orphan from another country, Musashi was taken in by the third Hokage after his parents were murdered by unidentified ninja. Around the age of 10, he enrolled late into the Ninja Academy. Being among children younger than him struggling with normally easy jutsu and chakra techniques made him isolated and alienated from children his own age, who would often be close to becoming Genin. Two years after his enrollment, he tried to cheat in a match against another, much stronger student by eating 10 soldier pills at once. The huge amount of chakra nearly killed him, and revealed a previously unknown kekkei-genkai in his left eye. After this incident, he was tutored by a taijutsu specialist, and learned of the great swordsman, Musashi, who he named himself after. He developed a strict sense of honor from his mentor, and has since become good friends with the student he tried to cheat against, Kazuma Yamada. Now 20 years old, he is a reknown taijutsu user, and is especially skilled with swords, and is rumored to be the best swordsman in Konoha, though many contest this claim, including Kazuma.

Musashi's sword, Konohaken, was made by Musahi himself, under the instruction of his mentor. The blade was infused with Musashi's chakra throughout every stage of it's creation, making it nothing short of an extension of his body when used in combat. This has also made the blade seem extremely light to Musashi, as if it were only 2 or 3 pounds, when it is in fact, more than 70. It's edge is sharp enough to cut a falling leaf with no movement at all, and can cleave through a tree as if it were made of water.

Musahi's kekkei-Genkai, Kengan, acts in a similar manner as a Sharingan in that it observes muscle movements and can easily predict in what way an opponent will move or attack next. Kengan also allows for increible accuracy with throwing objects, as well as allowing a faint view of internal organs, as well as the chakra networks.

Special Jutsu:

Whirlwind tempest - A unique taijutsu move in which Musashi hits the opponent with the blunt end of his sword, and with the enemy still on the blade, jumps upward, spinning in circles, spiraling like a whirlwind. Once Musashi stops, he slams the enemy to the ground from midair (blunt edge again) and falls straight down, impaling the enemy.

Spider Limbs - A mixture of high speed taijutsu and genjutsu, Spider Limbs gives the illusion of Musashi having eight arms, each with it's own Konohaken. The arms are obviously hard to coordinate, but each one strikes with the full force of a real arm/sword, and if used properly, can be absolutely devastating.

Stone Shard Assault - Upon finding a large rock or boulder, Musashi slashes at it repeatedly, dividing the stone into dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of pieces, given on how much time he takes. Afterwards, Musashi punches the stone as hard as he can, as well as with a good amount of chakra. The stone then shatters into the cut pieces, which then fly towards the enemy at an incredible speed. Musashi also has a large amount of control on the firing angles of the shards, and can make it a narrow, one person range, or can fan it out to make a huge fan of flying rocks and stone.

Dang it! Yet another awesome character sparatically given a sharingan, tailed beast, or insane amount of chakra for no reason. Besides the Kengan that doesn't seem to fit I love the character. Well thought out with quite innovative sword techniques (And it's hard to get me to like a sword bearing character outside of Kenshin). I most definitely like how the sword is much lighter to him and him alone. That would most definitely fit into a Naruto character. I can easily see the shocked faces after he cuts through a few trees and boulders. I can just as easily see someone else straining themselves to pick up his sword and use it.

People are so creative.... If you're going to create your own characters then just do it, don't just modify existing ones. You can import abilities from x-men or Heroes, their are more sources of super powers than Naruto.

Here's one of the top of head (try to guess my sources!):

Bio/history:
Deemed an abomination by the Bene Gesserit sect's breeding program, Endoh was treated as a failure by the sect. As a failure she was not trained in the use of "the Voice" which was every member's birthright.
Endoh, always with a sense of entitlement that all Bene Gesserit have, refused to believe this and trained her butt off. It was during her 10th year that manifested the unique bloodline that the sect had hoped for: gravitron manipulation, the very essence of earth element.

They soon treated her like a star and started her training on use of "the Voice". Dispite her age (most Bene Gessirit are trained from birth) she excelled in this as well. However, Endoh never got over her mistreatment at the hands of the sect and was often openly insubordinate and sarcastic to the sect leaders. While her most higher ups excuse this lack of manners due to her talents but it is clear that their patience was running thin.

She was also enrolled late to the Hidden Rock due to her early "abomination" status. Most of her peers assumed she was a washout from last year. Her attitude didn't make her any friends either. As it came time graduate it was clear that she was anything but a washout and dazzled her peers and instructors with her unique BLL. Her promotion to Chuunin and Jounin were all just a matter of time, or so she thought. Dispite the Bene Gessrit's vast contributions to the ranks of Rock ninjas most were treated with distrust, or sometimes even out right contempt. Achieving Chuunin was simple for her, but the stigma of the sect combined with her rude treatment of her superiors, made the rank of Jounin elusive.

With ninja war waging, Endoh was determined to distinguish herself to both her village and her sect. She lead her team many early victories, and was able to survive 3 encounters with the legendary "Yellow Flash" (although all 3 times lead to her defeat). She made it her goal to defeat Leaf's shining star, but in the end was recalled by the Bene Gessrit. The exact reasons for this recall are unknown (as are alot of the Bene Gessirit's motives) but it was widely assumed that she was to participate in the infamous breeding program. Endoh resisted the call but had no choice once the sect sent its most powerful elders to take her. Using the all powerful Voice, they were successful in removing her from battle.

By the time she returned to the village over a year later the war was over, and worse still the "Yellow Flash" had perished in a fight with Kyuubi. So she was never able redeem her defeats. Her apparent dessertion on the battlefield made prospects of promotion even more distant. Worse of all she has been completely cut off from the Bene Gessirit since coming back. Most assumed that it was her resistance to being recalled that made her fall out of favor with them.

The truth was Endoh was part of breeding program, and when she did give birth to her child she instantly attached to it, and wished to take care of it herself. But this was not the Bene Gessirit way, "above blood ties" was their motto, and all mothers, even Endou's, were separated and hidden from the instant they were born and raised by the sect. Unlike Endoh, her child manifested an even more powerful BLL right from birth. They deemed Endoh not only as extraneous, but also dangerous to their cause, and expelled her.

Endoh has since tried even harder to become Jounin, but now for the sole purpose of gaining access to secret files that could give her clue to her heritage as well as lead her to her child (she doesn't even know what sex it is). At the same time she has been raising her resistant to the Voice to give her a fighting chance of being reunited with her child.

The Bene Gessirit (you should all know were I pulled this reference out of by now):

A mysterious sect made of predominantly women, and have been part of the Earth country's background for as long as anyone can remember. Their goals are completely unknown to all but the elders and those hags never reveal their secrets. The sect has an agreement with the Hidden Rock, in which the BG provided outstanding troops and the village provided them with ample "breeding substrates" and the option of recalling their members at anytime. The village also provides training for the young sect members which the sect deems as beneath them.

The main reason for the village ninja's distrust of the sect is mainly because of Voice (which in essence allowed to deceive everyone) and the fact that BG nins seem to be recalled right when the fight is starting to get intense (like in Endoh's case).

The real reason is that during wars with other countries, the sect has much more opportunities to capture bloodline user from other countries. Even the Tsuchikage correctly guessed (half-jokingly) that even without the Voice, coercing prisoners into mating with attractive sect members wouldn't be too hard.

Children born into the sect are separated from their mother (who knows what happens to the father), where they start their training in the Voice. Since most breeding takes place at the same time, and the fact that only elders are allowed contact with the new members, the mothers rarely have a means of finding out who their child is. The BG do this because they believe that blood ties lead to irrational behavior, and hence weakness in thought.

Despite all secrecy it is said that a master-list of lineages must exist for the breeding program to be so successful. Endoh is determined to find this list at all costs.




Jutsu: Endoh's jutsu make her a fearsome opponent but they often lack subtly that is required of ninjas. While the Voice is a great ninja tool, Endoh often squanders it. As such many of the village Jounin think she is a fight first character, although many have come to reconsider since her valor in the ninja war.

the Voice:
This auditory genjutsu is the trademark jutsu of all BG. Some say that it is the BG BLL, other think it can be learned. Whatever it is so far only the BG have mastered it. It allows the user immense powers of persuasion over its victim. It has it limits like it will not work as well if the victim never wanted to do such an action to begin with. However, it is well documented that elders have made enemies kill themselves with just a sentence. Thankfully the elders rarely ever engage in combat and even fewer have such extensive control over it.
Endoh is considered an adept in using the Voice, and uses it to convince her enemies to attack her by convincing them she is a "weak little girl", or to attack a well guarded area. Many BG feel she doesn't use the Voice to its full potential and instead relies on her BLL more. In truth Endoh hates to use it because it reminds her that she is a BG. She has been using it more frequently now to try to find out its limits and a way to counter it.

Disruption:
This jutsu is the main reason why she could survive the 4th Hokage's attacks. By distorting the already unstable summoning field with her gravitron control she can effectively counter any summoning jutsu, including the 4th's Hirashin jutsu. Unfortunately the 4th Hokage had other tricks that Endoh had no counter for.

Singularity:
Creates a dense orb of gravity that sucks up all matter. Endoh herself is immune to its effects and uses it draw in fleeing enemies. The draw in effect is quite violent often tearing and breaking bones due to the gravitational differences. The mini black hole is unstable and collapses on itself in in .2 sec, which is good news for the universe. The effective radius for this jutsu is 100 m, but even out of this range shearing damage is still dealt. Endoh tries not to use this when her team is around since she has hurt them in the past with this very same jutsu.

Gravitron beam (this should be dead givaway):
Endoh's goto move. Basically a thin black beam that super compresses everything in its path. It immense power is the reason why Endoh is so feared. It is pretty telegraphed and has a long wind up, but with her control of gravity she usually can slow down her oppenent (though doing both at the same time puts some strain on her, she would never admit it).

Elemental vortex:
This is Endoh "ultimate defense". By modifying the gravitrons she can suck in any elemental attack directed at her and bounce it back in concentrated form to its attacker. The amount absorbed is not 100% and for big area of effect spells she still take on substantial damage.

In all honesty, I drew the character long before I posted him here, and didn't feel like erasing his eye, so went with it. If you're going to make a sharingan/byakkugan ripoff, you might as well go all the way. If I post another, I'll leave out the super powered eyes and evil inner demons.

I wasn't meaning to single you out by any means. Your character at least has the rest to fall back on as originality and barely even seems to use the special eye you gave him. It was just that your character seemed very original and great outside of that extra ability. I was just complaining to the world in general, so you can give him sharakugan or byaringan if you want. I'll just keep telling myself he doesn't have it and I'll be happy since I like the rest of the character .
