I just got volume 3 in the mail today. I ordered it from Borders, which leads me to a question: Are your volume 3 covers glossy compared to the first two volumes?
I was curious why since I actually bought 1 and 2 in store and 3 on their website. I'm wondering since I had the same thing happen with the 2 Shana light novels from Borders. Volume 2 was glossy while volume 1 wasn't. |

Glossy? Glossy!
Hey, it is glossy, indeed. I didn't even notice!
I've understood that the 3rd manga was the last that was in the anime. I might be wrong. Anyway, some of the 3rd volume definitely did not appear in the anime. Like the "Tsundere Café". That was so awesome! I almost wish they had used that for the culture festival, instead of cheerleading! Last edited by Zokusho; 2009-12-18 at 10:55. Reason: Where's my signature? |

Since we won't probably never see that, I'm writing a fan fiction chapter about it right now. Kagami is hired to Konata's cosplay café for a day to show them what being Tsundere is about.
But this will take time...

Yes, it does. As far as I know, the seniors graduate in the 6th volume of manga, and they still appear in the 7th volume. College life in itself is not shown. (I haven't read the Japanese manga and I don't want to even look for scans & translations, so this is second hand knowledge.)

Lots of Patricia Martin in Volume 7... also lots of dialog and text. This puppy will be slow trudging for me to read.
The art style is mildly different - in a good way. The eyecatches show our mangaka has been working on his skills, some very interesting stuff.

Heh, have they ever said where in America Patty's from? I'd like to think it's "a place called Springfield. The owner of the comic book store there is this fat jerk who's way ruder than the Gamers and Animate store owners here. And he refuses to stock manga! What the heck? Oh, and there's a nuclear plant there which was rated as the most unsafe in the nation."
