Kyoto Animation has put up some new goods from the Disappearance movie on their "KyoAni Store". I've already placed an order for 2. The new items are:

1. A B2 sized poster of the artwork where the SOS Brigade is standing against the wall (seen in many promos)
2. A Postcard book set containing many pictures from the movie (not linking due to spoilers)
3. A cloth that you can use to clean glasses which has a smiling Yuki on it.
4. A set of 2 clear files with the artwork from both sets of tickets (none of the teaser image of Yuki)
5. A A3 size poster set with the teaser Yuki art and the picture of Yuki and Ryoko serving oden.

Also today, I received a package from Japan containing my copies of the Disapperance OST, Yasashii Bokuyaku, Imaginary ENOZ featuring HARUHI, and the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou DVD. What is new for this thread is a preview of something that a lot of people may not get: STORE GOODS!

Around the beginning of January I noticed that there was a special campaign that took place with the Disappearance OST and Theme song thanks to the official fansite. If you ordered both CDs from certain stores, you would get a free reversible B2 poster. I am a sucker for posters, so I got my middlewoman to purchase the CDs with the poster. It is huge and it is awesome! I put a playing card beside the poster to show the relative size.
I looked into the site, but it seems that they don't ship overseas. What a pity.

I wonder if it's possible for me to get a B2 poster like yours

So a few days ago I got the last 2009 DVD. The 16-volume set is complete!

The fronts
The backs
The first three novels in anime form (three discs for each)

It was very difficult to take the first two pictures, but I'm happy with how they turned out. I'm working on a review of the whole 16 volume set. Let's just say it's a bunch more pictures.

Watch as Haruhi fans buy the gum and consider it Haruhi merchandise...

Note to self: I will not breathe close to people and turn them to anime characters...

Hmhm. I wonder if there's a way to get it though? I live in the UK and I don't know anyone in Japan, so that's probably a no-no.

I'm impressed. That is a collection Haruhi fans all over the world want to own, and you have done it! Good job

It's my first time seeing all these covers together, and I must say, in comparison, I like the young Haruhi and the waitress Tsuruya to the rest (kinda expected, I guess).

Does anybody know if the 2009 DVDs are going to come to the UK eventually? If that's the case, then I'm happy to wait. If not though, then I'll probably order the DVDs from Japan.

Ultimatemegax - the DVDs are Region 2 and have English subtitles, correct?

On another note, after making some enquiries, I got a link to a middleman shopping service, and I've ordered 2 posters, the guide to the movie and a postcard book.

I've also ordered 2 figurines, of Haruhi and Mikuru. They should be here soon! Yippee.

There have been some public inquiries into the set by Manga (UK), but no one has announced that they have the license.

The 2009 DVDs are indeed for Region 2 and have English subtitles (selectable on the menu), but they are in NTSC format, so they may still be incompatible with some DVD players.

Phew, finally received Vol.6 of the second season, shortly after the arival of Vol 8. It had spend like 2 months in customs Still I'm happy it wasn't lost in transit.

Anyway that completes the 16 part set. Now the waiting starts for the movie DVD/BR.

Is it me or is there relatively little new merchandise appearing around Disappearance? Looked for new PVC figures or art books but can't find anything other then a few segas and the movie guide.

Hopefully yours wasn't damaged like mine was when it arrived.

They've been releasing some apparel goods like shirts, the re-release of the armband and hair ribbons. They also released the books with a special panorama cover (which Shoushitsu sold out of first) as well as the ENOZ CD. As for figures, there's been a couple of boxes released.

Some of the goods can only be bought at the theatres, so things like the B2 poster of the teaser image and some clear mini files are almost out of reach for overseas fans. Kyoto Animation has added a few things to their website store here and you can take a look at the goods they've recently released here on KyoAni's official Haruhi page.

I'd say it's safe to say that there's been more merchandise released around the movie than you may have realized.

I wonder how much it would be to buy the whole 16 volume collection. I'd imagine it would be rather expensive. Bri, and Ultimate, how much did you pay alltogether?

I bought the first 8 DVDs in an auction from Yahoo Japan (one of the higher than average ones due to the Toranora postcards) and the last 8 from Amazon Japan. Including shipping and middleman fees, my total for the 16 DVDs was 78,919 yen. If you look on the auctions, you could pay much less than that.

Personally, I still feel that they are worth every yen and I'd pay that again for these DVDs.

Now onto Railgun (cursing Geneon and their limited edition DVD inclusion)

Fortunately everything arrived safely, the main issue I have with ordering online from Japan is that shipments sometimes end up in customs for long periods of time. As I can't really use anything else here except the postal service, they exploit that niche with expensive low quality service.

Hmm, so most of the merchandise goes through the Kyoani web store? Clever should be quite profitable for them. Not that much of interest to me in there, except the line art books. Hope they will some figurines at some point. Also if Kyoani would publish some "Groundworks" like Gainax has, that'd be awesome.

Hmm, roughly, including shipping, I'd say around 700 Euro/950 USD for all 16 limited editions. That is at new price.

I want to find the bookmark with Yuki's reprogram instructions and the literature club application. Anyone know if it was made to print out or something?

If there was, I haven't seen it.

For things I have seen lately, Kyo-Ani has added three new things for the Disappearance movie to their online store:
1. A set of two metal posters (illustrations printed onto alluminum) for 900 yen. The illustrations are the two Yukis that was in the NewType picture tease and a illustration of Haruhi and Disappearance!Yuki.
2. A 5 page set of free-cut stickets for 1000 yen. Stick your favorite image on your favorite items!
3. A Yuki cushion! One side has a brand new illustration of Disappearance Yuki with a pillow and the other side has the sulking Yuki we've seen before. The cover is 9000 yen itself and the cushion+cover set is 15,000 yen.

Top three on this page. All three will ship in June so if you order it, don't expect to see anything until then!

Edit: Gamerz had a couple promotions with the 2009 DVDs. If you bought them all from there, you got a special Noizi Ito drawn box. If you got volumes 2-8, you got this as well:

Back in February, Kyoto Animation listed some new items for sale that were related to the Shoushitsu movie. Two of those items were a B2 poster and a postcard book of images from the movie. Both arrived at my location today.

The poster is the same art used to advertise the movie at theatres but without the extra text on the top. I love the art and I was afraid I'd have to bid on a theatre used poster to get one, but now I don't have to. It looks even better in person.

The postcard book features 30 postcards that have an image from the movie on the front. It makes me appreciate the work put into the animation even more.

They're both well worth the yen to get them if you have a chance.
