graduate, get a job at the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in my country, and work at some embassy... doesn't really matter where, I just want to live for a year or longer in as many countries as possible to take in different cultures and people's ways of life.
more personal side... learn how to play guitar and ride a motorbike, buy a kickass bike (a Ducati 999 would be nice) and tour the countryside. Fill a room with anime figures -- started on that one . Final goal: if/when I get all this done, think up some new ones. |

More in the sense of, I hope Furigana's goals work out. Ya know like having the strength to follow through with ones dreams in life. That kinda of "power". The power of will, you could say. I know what you mean about the power thing though. And you're right. Too much power like that, makes one not only weak in the end, but in the long run it makes one lonely as well. |

Ambition
My intention is to find a job in Human Resources after my graduation this year (in Aug) since I majored in HR. Thereafter I will consider doing my Masters in about 3 to 4 yrs time before going back to my college to be a lecturer. I have always wanted to teach coz I was deeply inspired by many teachers during my high school & college days. However, I was told that working experience in the corporate world is required in order to apply for the job as a lecturer, thus I'll have to spend some years working first + saving for my part time education.

umm....being successful, doesn't mean i have to be filthy rich to be happy, i'm currently pretty well off but i don't want to spend my parent's money when i grow up though therefore i have to strive to achieve.
My short term goal right now is to study hard and achieve a good High school Certificate (HSC) and get a 95.00+ UAI (University admission index) My medium term goal is to graduate from either actuarial studies (i really doubt it) or Forensic/Accounting, who knows i'll probably choose something different since there's still one year left for me to decide on my future My long term goal is to get marry and create my own family , travel around the world and HAVE FUN!!!! |

My goals
Short Term Goals
Well,I'm only a Year 10 student currently,so my short-term goals may be limited.I would like to pass my important O Levels this year and get into one of the top 3 Year 11 and Year 12 schools(A Levels) Long Term Goals For my long term goals,I am aiming for a place in Princeton(Yes I'm a nerd ) and attaining a degree in Economics and finally start work somewhere. After that I'd like to get my Masters and return to work. As long as I am blessed with a fulfilling and peaceful, happy life with a wife that loves me(looks are no matter),my goal would be attained. Goals That Are In Between Well,I want to travel the world as a backpacker and visit every country in the world.Oh,and to watch anime till the day I die |

Strange, for an anime forum, there are a lot of "I want to move to Japan forever" and very few "I want to publish the greatest manga/ anime ever". If you want to go to Japan...seriously...it's not that great a place...there're still remnants of feudalist logic there, so beware. My goal in life without specification would have to be to strive for justice and equality for everyone in this world, in everyway I possibly can. (I know I'm probably never going to have a lot of money, so my means are limited. But people can be influenced in so many ways). I would also like to write at least one graphic novel in my life. For the argument that things such as "I want to go to a good school...get married, etc" are not goals that will bring happiness...or are not valid things to strive for and thus are shallow, society induced reasons for living....Well, you're right, they're just that, but if someone wants to have a "good" (by good I'm leaning towards a luxurious life), then they're more than welcome. I've known the difference between an ivy league and a mediocre state college, and there is a world of difference, not just in the enthusiasm and knowledge of the professors, but also in the attitude of the students with whom you spend time with. I've had no money, and rode in the bus with homeless people 4-6 hours a day, and I've also had a lexus of my own. A life of luxury is less stressful, and less painful, and if you were a normal person like me, you would prefer it. I read somewhere that the happiest memory people had was of conquering a challenge that they thought was excruciatingly difficult for them, but through work and motivation they did as they had dreamt. And Mr. Paper: WOW you've mean the Lama?! WOW. Wow. Seriously. Can I have his number, plz? |

I would say happiness but that's really vague.
To be more specific, I aim to gain these things in order to attain happiness: -Get a decent job in the industry I majored in and enjoyed doing. -Stay healthy. -Be with my family till the end. -Meet my fated partner? (maybe) -Be able to witness an event that will change mankind. (First contact with real aliens etc etc) -Die of old age.
