Well I took a look at some spoiler images since the episode probably won't be watchable for a while, and it seems they've decided to blatantly censor the Sora ecchi scenes.

Well if there was any doubt left about the kiss scene between Sora and Haruka as kids back in episode 1, this episode pretty much proves it wasn't Sora's imagination since Haruka has the same exact memory.

And yeah there's some somewhat heavy censorship in this episode, although I'd argue even more than there was back in Kazuha's arc; they still showed some full cleavage while we get none here. Looks like we'll have to wait until the release of Sora's arc on BD/DVD on April 4th '11 to get it uncensored.

Of course it remains to be seen for sure if the BD/DVDs will be uncensored at all. We'll find that out on the 22nd this month. (unless I missed some official announcement saying that the BD/DVDs would be uncensored)

I thought it the kiss was only Sora's imagination but Haruka did save Sora from the falling jar. I guess there's something amiss here. Could this be before or after Nao raped him? Because him kissing Sora out of the blue is a bit awkward. But either that, or Haru in the end, was disgusted at what he did or he simply doesn't believe what Sora was doing in the end.

It was a flashback partway through the epsiode, well before that end part wit Sora, so it doesn't have anything to do with that.

And just in case for all those thinking it, no he wasn't enjoying recalling the kiss.

He seemed rather troubled by it.

Either way though, it's definitely a fact now that the kiss flashback Sora had back in episode 1 wasn't Sora's imagination, since as said Haruka recalls the exact same event in this episode.

Has there ever been a case where the R2 DVD/BDs of a show have kept TV censorship? They shouldn't need to announce that it'll be uncensored. Now, granted, that doesn't meant they'll be reanimating anything to be more explicit, but things like oddly-placed lighting and shadows were added by the TV stations anyway so aren't part of the actual anime.

And by the way, Sora's Blu-Ray is being released on 23 March; the "Regular Edition" is being released on 6 April.

About Episode 10 itself...

The good writing and directing is back!! All I can say is: holy crap what a difference it makes in terms of my enjoyment of the show. It really has nothing to do with it being Nao's arc or Sora's arc -- the presentation of Nao in this episode was way better than it was in her own arc. Dialog was much more cleverly-written, the cuts were better-placed, and the symbolism was back. The visual cues were night and day -- the way Haruka and Nao were fidgeting on the phone, the way Haruka's head turned when he lied to Sora about Sunday, the changing looks on Sora's face when he tells her about Sunday's cancellation... all the little signs... great stuff. The way he acted on the date was a massive tell, but the way he blocked Nao from seeing Sora was an even bigger one. And the curry did indeed become "Haru's curry" this time; awesome.

The scene at the end is obviously the most important "tell" in terms of Haruka's behaviour. Until now he's been able to lie to himself; to say that he doesn't have feelings for Sora, that she doesn't have feelings for him in the same way as he does, that he'll make things work with Nao, and so on. What they were showing there is him feeling sick -- like the whole world was tightening around him. He can no longer deny how they feel for each other. Now, what's he supposed to do?

Awesome episode is awesome; they totally made the episode 7 work perfectly, even though I had some serious doubts. It's a bit anime-original, but my faith is restored.

Edit: As for the various scenes that were contested in Episode 1, I think we can now conclude that they were shared memories and fantasies (as the case may be). The reason it didn't make sense at that time is because we didn't understand the structure of the anime back then. But now that we understand the show, we can understand what those scenes meant. Haruka did have feelings for Sora all along, but he chooses to suppress them in the other arcs and pursue relationships with the other girls whole-heartedly. If we rewatch the other arcs the way they'll be shown on the Blu-Ray (with episode 1 as the start of every arc), it'll make more sense.

Spoiler for YnS 10 - Keitai Shoujo: I can see this episode generating a lot of discussion in much the same way the first episode did, and for much the same reasons. Though, as it was with the previous episode, strange how the reversal is. For what was Nao's arc, Sora had quite a lot of screentime and, for at least the first episode of Sora's arc, Nao's the one getting a lot of screentime. Their relationship seems to be progressing better than it was in the last universe, though it's not meant to last. And the Motoka segment was a nice breather as always. It's not every day you see a person pop out of a cell phone. Or a person turn into a cell phone, but that's neither here nor there.

Spoiler for Episode 10: My little sister is really this slut: I have tink the reason of Haruka's doubts has its source on his mother actions causing a sort of Edipo complex on him, but then, when the mother is dead, who looks the more close to his mother? Sora. About the drama, in my opinion is guilty what Haruka feels, looks like he blames himself of her sister "behaviour" because he spend too much time with Naor rather than his sister.
