As a strategy, what Archer is advocating has it's flaws. You already have the lolli gunning for Rin. It makes much more sense to form a temporary alliance to kill the major threat...then backstab your ally in the end. It might not even be necessary, since Shiro would be willing to conceed victory to Rin. So...does Archer have another motive to wanting Shirou offed? Either he's jealous of Rin's attentions toward Shiro or maybe he wants Saber? Hmmm...there's nothing in the rules against a servant to own another servant is there? |

Once again, we were more in the comedy branch. But the first half was entertaining enough, although I hope that won't become the standard for future episodes (but I think not).
The second half instead was actually interesting, both for Rin's hunting to Emiya, both for the intelligent subtle Rider's introduction. And for that marvellous scene at the school's starway I'm divided between 7 and 8 for this episode. I'll decide later

I regretted having watched the raw this time around. Oh well, good to see Rin taking action, Archer must've talked some sense into her (or not because I don't know what they're saying) Hmmm, first a girl with a crystal ball and now one with chain. Is there something about Rin/Shirou that's so interesting that they have to spy on them?

It looks like Rin's little chase with Shirou has more to do with the fact that Shirou doesnt seem to be taking the war seriously. She was annoyed when she couldnt find Saber around Shirou... course mentioning her skirt during the stairwell part added fuel to the fire.. |

Ok, I'm going to say it, the blatant avoidance of ecchiness is starting to get annoying. I'm not one to enjoy over the top "panty shots in every scene" anime, but if they are going to dedicate an episode almost entirely to comedy and fan service(even during the serious parts), FFS don't make Rin start holding her skirt down while she's jumping down the stairs trying to kill someone.
I liked the episode, but the character designs were way off. It feels like Shuffle all over again. Things are going smoothly and then during random episodes they bring in some artists who can't follow the original animation at all. Some of the humor wasn't all that funny either imo. And like I said, I'm pissed caused Rin manages to maintain her modesty while in the middle of a battle. |
