looking for anime

I am looking for a new anime to watch.
Must have no more than 26 episodes

I have watched
-Suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu (my all time favorite)
-onegai twins
-higurashi (only season 1, i am on episode 18 of season 2)
-elfen lied
-strawberry panic
-lucky star
-azumanga daioh
-sailor moon (up too season 2 then i was bored)

there are all the anime i have watched i am now looking for something that moves quite quickly that is interesting..
I like Horror, Romance, comedy, slice of life and i DO NOT like Magic girl animes.

hm.. if you have watched Onegai Twins, you might want to check out Onegai Teacher, which is a romance..
Maybe for a slice of life you could go for Kokoro Library.

flcl - short and hilarious
school rumble - school life comedy.
kareshi kanojo no jijou (kare kano) - school life romance comedy.
ef - a tale of memories - "slice of life".
maria-sama ga miteru - if you liked strawberry panic.
shingetsutan tsukihime - vaguely similar to elfen lied.

Edit: oh and also ghost hunt for horror.

Too many to count. I'll start with Clannad, which is romance, slice of life, and comedy but does have its sad moments.

for romance, you could try the ongoing True Tears, which is 13 eps (its only on the 12th episode right now though). My favorite anime at the moment.

ef - a tale of memories - "slice of life". the best. But seriously, it's romance/psychological with maybe some slice-of-life.
maria-sama ga miteru - if you liked strawberry panic. Not really. They're not very similar. It's slice-of-school-life with very little drama, romance, etc.
shingetsutan tsukihime - vaguely similar to elfen lied.

I'll second the things I edited.

Seconding these two, except that Clannad > True Tears and Tomoyo > Hiromi.
I'll throw in Kanon 2006 as well, it's quite similar to Clannad. These two are from the same studio as Haruhi and Lucky Star, and I remember at least two references to Kanon in Lucky Star, but it's been a while, so there might be more.
Shakugan no Shana, too, because you'll be voting Shana in the International Moe League amirite?
But it's still a good action/romance with comedy and slice-of-life, too.

See, I didn't mention Shana because the requester asked for less than 26 episodes. I know Shana has two seasons with 24 each, but 24*2=48, which fails requirements.

But yeah, if you can deal with 48, then go with Shakugan no Shana. If not, try Fate/Stay Night, which is probably the closest thing to Shana.

And don't mention a particular Louise

44 episodes so far amirite?

But yeah, if you don't want to watch two seasons (24 episodes each), go with Fate/Stay Night, though I don't like it as much.
