I didn't like the OP or the ED but the moments before the OP were enough to captivate me. Simply amazing this series. Looking forward for more eps.

I am guessing that the face is rotating just like the second hand of a clock...

What if the face is rotating counter-clockwise?

This show is certainly a VERY nice change of pace from the usual anime show, from the plot, to the characters, and to the very artsyle itself. A recommended watch judging from eps 1, that's for sure.

(And in all honesty, I find it more intriguing than LS right now, so I don't really mind if AFK put a lower priority on LS now)

It will take a lot for it though to come up in my top 2 of the season, but that's just my bias for stories like HiguNaku & School Days and my bias against 'show which mostly feature the girls in the class' speaking.

this kinda reminds me of Haruhi, but I know nobody will agree lolz
I LIKE THIS. I'm back from a longggg hiatus of watching anime, and this show def. gets me excited! Hilarious dark comedy with excellent animation quality.
Will be following religiously, unless it gets bad <3

Hmm, looks it from the first episode --- but maybe in a different form? Even though both shows use dark humor, they're both so different.

Also, so much avatar material from the first episode.
Glad that I'm slowly going back to otaku form after a long hiatus from watching anime.

Thankfully, this show welcomed me. ¬.¬

It runs in Shonen Magazine, there's a difference. :3

& yes, you should check this out. It may not be to your liking, though it is a show everyone should at least give a try.

This, Hayate, Lucky Star, and School Days are what I'm currently watching.

Ever since I heard of the manga I've been interested in this. The art and the directing is excellent. The dark comedy truely suits my tastes, especially since I'm watching Hayate and LS. Always good to keep things in balance you know.

So, who's going to track down all the Chalkboard messages? Or better yet, in the OP there was a discussion that flashed by that appeared to be about a visit to a restaurant of some sort? Could someone explain what that was all about?

TIA!

I agree on the censored parts... but I just don't care for censoring things in anime with silly pictures (it also appears in Hayate, as another example).

I need to go back and read that, it was way too fast XD I did enjoy the chalk board refs alot, wonder if thats gonna continue or not. I did also like the very low-key school counselor XD Her "what a pain" statement made me laugh.

While I have to agree I hate censoring aswell atleast the ones in hayate are done in a silly style close to that of the rest of the show...The ones shinbo uses in this one are plain hideous.

Its like looking over a beautiful landscape painting and suddenly seeing a giant trash dump plopped in the middle of it...Completely destroys the look and feel of the show for me.

Other then that I quite enjoy the character designs as other people have mentioned before me. The girl that reminded me of Rei stood out quite abit...Im curious to know what the story is behind the bandages.

The censorship is annoying, thats mostly the one thing that bothers me, I liked the first episode. I'm going to keep following this from the first episode it looks like it can turn out great.

Downloaded episode 1 earlier today. Will watch it either tonight or tomorrow (depending on when Lucky Star 14 comes out). For now, I'm wondering if we can expect the following at least once this series:

SHINBOU/SHAFT STAPLES:
-A reference to Pani Poni Dash
-A reference to Azumanga Daioh
-A scene that's done in the style of a video game
-A cameo appearence involving Motsu (aka the frog from Negima!?)

ONE THAT COULD BE EXPECTED FOR OBVIOUS REASONS:
-A reference to Mahou Sensei Negima

The censorship is required, though, right? It's either a censorship mark over "certain parts" or no random nudity at all. They've gotta please the broadcasters. :P Though I don't watch many shows that have nudity, so I may be wrong.

In any case, I thought the random guy's face for censorship was there and thought it was hilarious. I really hate it when I'm watching an anime I like and suddenly have to stare at bare breasts, so I'm glad they censored it. Without the random guy's face there, those scenes wouldn't have been funny at all. I thought it was a clever way to quickly change a boring random fanservice scene into something funny.
