I predicted some weeks ago that the show would end with Raul battling Demon Lord Fino to rescue her, and it looks this is where this is heading. She will get possessed by the bloodstone and Raul will have to fight her to destroy it and bring back the old Fino.

On an unrelated note, I've been meaning to ask for while: I'm not the only one who thinks Raul's seiyuu sounds a lot like Jun Fukuyama (who also happens to be in this show as well), right? It's pretty uncanny.

Demons want Mao, Heroes want fight and Amada profit from weapons.

Somehow it seems that Fino being Mao would make more people happy than unhappy....

the best moment so far of this anime and all episodes:

finally someone with common sense say the "truth who was needed to say a long time on this anime..., this proof who most of the girls have more "balls"/brains than him.

for me raul can ending with his tsundere ex-fight partner bunny girl aira she is perfect for him, fino is really too much good/perfect for him

now i really know why seara choose raul to live with fino, we can't find more "harmless" garbage than him in this world, give him a bright and awesome sword and you can throw him inside a big arena ful of gorgogenous/hot/sexy naked womans/girls, who "nothing gonna happen is more easy the girls kick his ass and ask for sending to them a true man.
I think fact he take care about her, teach her properly work, teach her common sense, cook for her, and help her clean all mass she cause everyday are very good reasons. There is plenty "less harmless" guy who wouldn't be willng go through half of these trouble. But I do agree he can end with his tsundere ex-fight partner bunny girl, Aira is perfect for him, fino is realy too much bother/hassle for him.

Someone needs to tell those two that you're not a hero when you attack innocent girls on the street, and you're not a hero when you try to start a war for your own selfish reasons.

you ended resuming why she like him, cuz raul is fino new's "mother" (he do evertyhing a mother do to her children), this is why he is so "harmless" .

really a 180 change, from a happy go luck harem to a more serious action moment

and indeed this show use the same pattern of mahou yuuha anime where a world without war or evil/bad peoples and only peace can be a nightmare for some peoples and having war and things like that "can be important".

indeed that 2 freaking morons, doing that things, (get allied with demons, bulling a girl and forcing her to do something who she dont want, and wanting a war just to "look cool and shine" omg that guys really have some serious mental issues.

I think Hero in this show isn't defined in the conventional sense of the term. Hero is more of a career path people in this universe take because they want the good life. It is just another job.

That said, I want those two who laid their hands on Fino spanked thoroughly in the coming episode.

For their defense it can be said, there is very few people who can just move on after whole their way of life was shattered. I can even imagine that under different circumistances Raul who was "closest to become hero" would do same.

I don't think you're giving humanity enough credit ) I know a lot of people who do move on with their lives. They always have the option of pulling what Blaze and Klein did, but they don't, and that, to me, is admirable. Regarding Raul, he did move on, albeit reluctantly at first. He was already a hardworking Leon employee before Fino came along.

On the other hand, Blaze and Klein are a greedy pair that will do everything if it means living their ideal life-- even assault and forcibly coerce a, to them, stranger just to be their stepping stone. Note that Blaze doesn't say he wants to become a hero for the nobility of the profession, but so that he can live a "great life".

Moving on, I'm curious about the status of the light novel. Are there more arcs after this? While this series has grown on me after my initial negative impression, I do have to wonder how it progresses. Unlike Hataraku Maou-Sama!, the world of this series hasn't really been expanded over its course. The end-goal will likely be Fino opening her shop in the Demon World, but I want to know if there are any interesting twists on her road to that goal...

Im surprised none of you are talking about how when fino said she'd run the store with him he imagines him and fino carrying a baby ...... Plus fino's reaction to raul being a former hero is expected but boring.

Anywho the guys aren't really that scummy to me. Think about this no hero is 100% good you kill demons just because your told their the enemy. If Raul was still a hero whose to say he wouldn't try to kill fino. They think their doing the world a service by bringing back hero's and the boring reality is in that world having heroes are a good thing. Hero's don't assault strangers your right they kill them because somebody says their suppose to there's no purely goodhearted hero besides Raul from this stories standpoint in fact you really haven't had too much of a story.

Really this was coming next episode is likely gonna be raul finding fino and having to fight his old team then All A comes and either helps raul or helps to beat him it will likely end with fino becoming demon king but a peaceful one and raul would be the hero who acts as a go-between for the human and demon worlds

Now we can argue how much of credit humanity deserve, which wouln't never end. Raul weren't realy able move on until Fino appeared either despite working in Leon either.

In other hand, Klein and Blaze doesn't think ONLY (yet mainly) about theirself, from their dialogue with Raul it's clear they do think also about other heroes who lost their way.

And for Fino, she is Demon Lord daughter. That itself is good excuse to appease conscience for people who doesn't know her personaly. Let's be honest if these two were just genuine jerkasses like you trying say Raul and Airi would hardly asociate with them in hero prep. school.

Given what we've seen of Raul, those would have to be some ridiculously contrived "circumstances", certainly involving a ton of misinformation. Raul's two hero "buddies", or at least Blaze, seem to be perfectly aware that Fino doesn't want to become a new Demon Lord. That alone would be a dealbreaker for Raul, or anyone who actually does live up to the "hero" moniker. Throw in the underhanded tactics, the resultant needless bloodshed, the profiteering on the backs of others, etc., and you'd be hard pressed to call any "hero" who knowingly goes through with this anything but a "villain". Raul may be a failure when it comes to dealing with women, but he's also got a strong code of honor.

Raul wanted to become a hero in order to defeat the Demon Lord. To stop his evil ways and those of his evil subordinates. To save those they might otherwise harm or kill. He didn't do it for fame, glory, or acclaim (although those probably didn't hurt), but those clearly are Blaze's main reasons, as he basically stated himself in this episode.

You forget Blaze's dialogue with Raid. Y'know, the guy who actually isn't Blaze's friend. Or, maybe Raul and Airi didn't know these two well enough. It's like when you meet someone during your early college years, become chummy with them to the point you decide to rent a place together only to find out how different they are outside the school setting. Granted, there's a reasonable chance Blaze and Klein will be redeemed considering the tone of this series, but this is still a black mark against them. So yes, currently, they are, as you put, jerkasses, though I would go with selfish self-entitled sissies myself

Yeah, except for those who would die from the demons' rampages and assaults. But who cares about them, there's profit to be made!

Yeah, I think the difference is coming down to "yuusha" vs "eiyuu", with the former being a career/class/status, where the latter is the traditional thinking of the term.

I'm mostly curious what All A is going to do. I can't imagine she'd accept the plan as-is, especially if she found out it was Fino they were trying to force. Though I can see her being tsun about it.

All A will likely accept at first but feel conflicted, especially when she sees it's Fino. She'll likely get more and more ashamed of herself until when she sees Raul come for Fino that'll be when she throws away the hero path and joins him instead.

She'll have been told that the Demon Lord is back, without being given too many details. Her response will be determined by when she shows up. If she shows up while Fino is still Fino, she'll turn back to Raul's side quickly enough, though she'll probably work the jealousy angle a bit, like any good tsundere. If she doesn't show up until after they've used the Bloodstone on Fino, she'll have no problem fighting, maybe even against the "misguided" Raul a bit, until she realizes everything that's going on.
